In two weeks I’ll be in the snow. Don’t know where I’ll ski.
I’m in no hurry to get there until more runs are open.
Weekend of the 23rd??
It starts from the 23rd, With better snow I could be there sooner,
I have a few family members combining some birthdays in Canberra that weekend, I thinking I’m 2/3 the way there might chuck in the Sunday/Monday.
I’m definately down the 28th to 1st
If I apply logic and look at the past 14years it’s likely I’ll be there after the 28th.
But right now I’m not planning it, but I’m not planning on doing anything else.
I don’t have a season pass or any money or any accom. But I’ve started many seasons this way, it’s possible that within a few hours of arriving all those could change.

Haha this has been a funny week, most people in town have been going back home for a week just to save money :( no work untill it picks up, I have 1 shift this week

Come the weekend after this there wont be enough people to fill jobs, I’m expecting I’ll be offered more than a few when I get down there next week.
Starting to clear my calendar for the school hols incase I’m offered something decent.
Finally I’m starting to get excited about winter. I might just pull my boards out and tune them up, try on my boots and pack away my summer wardrobe.
Lol wasn’t this bad last year dude, or even the year before!! It’s a ghost town here without the snow :(
Spaz, you’re not exactly an average snow bum doing their first season down there… you know every man and his dog and they know you work hard when they hire you for a job. You also have the knowledge of things down there which is advantageous.
Normal snow bum nobody cares about. They can live off their savings because Thredbo / Perisher aren’t going to pay them to do nothing…

I did pull out my snow gear and found a funnel web spider living in one!!!! The one my gloves were stuffed into (haven’t checked gloves yet).
My room now stinks of insect spray.
Discovered I didn’t do a summer wax on my boards, but little to no rust - lucky. There are a few chinks that need P-Tex that I don’t remember happening.
My board bag was covered in dog hair and dust and found an unopened pair of BW socks in my travel bag!
The flood gate has opened!
This arvo gonna drop into Pacific Prizm and look for boots/board for PinkPrincess to hire for a few weeks.
Tonight it’s going to puke in the resorts, I’m beginning to think about getting down there next Tue/Wed.
It amazes me how deeply my internal snowbum hibernates over summer, yesterday I was feeling so unmotivated and barely cared when I would see snow, then today I’m bouncing off the walls with excitement.
First season snow bums generally do. Or they have parents to save them from going broke lol.
