I poured petrol into my first board through holes I stabbed in it. Set it on fire and put it to sea during a long period of no waves.
20years ago a second hand surfboard was still $200.
Mine - a pair of burton EST bindings - and no board! Can you get conversion plates for those things?
Hmmmm what else…. A wedding ring?

For me it’s $ down the drain for a whopping big hole in the ground called a swimming pool.
What a waste of money!!!
Gets used a couple of times a year. Azz is trying to work out how to put trout in it. It’s not even concrete so we can’t skate it (that being the royal we, meaning them, not me). It just doe n’t get hot enough for long enough. And in the snow, alpine touring bindings that attach to the other bindings. Should have spent those $ on a split board. What was I thinking????
I have always wanted to convert a pool to a fish farm/billabong! I will be so jealous if Azz does that. I read an article about how a council in the North of Sydney gives you incentives to turn your unused pool into a frog or fish pond.
Dont you just ignore it. Seems to be working for us since the pump died.
Pump will soon be replaced and pool cleaned. We actually use it a fair bit - everyday in summer and the kids even jump in during winter when the water temp drops really low.
This isn’t me but a mate got real pissed and bought a signed cricket bat for 3500 bucks at a charity auction thinking it would be worth heaps on eBay….
Nek minnut…
400 bucks buy it now.
Thought this was worth a mention.

Have you Seen the ultra 84 incher advertised on tele ATM??
Just a lazy 15 grand.
I can top that.
I went down to Perisher for a day the week before the shred. One of my mates who came with picked up his Freedom Pass that day….His only day on snow…
The girl at the counter was like “you want to pick up your pass for next year?”
“No this year”
“Well you got good value out of it..”
I can actually top that as well.
I bought three Freedom passes last season. One was for my mate. He did a total of zero days. Didn’t even pick it up. $700 down the drain.
Yeah I don’t get people like that… if you’re keen on the snow, what changes in those 6 months… If you don’t think you are going to get 3x weekend trips, just buy the passes when you rock up…
