Yeah, Buffalo pic looks great with that cloud! Thanks for sharing, Azz!
Best not to look at the cams today. Still, the r@!n will hopefully prepare the ground to freeze and hold a good base.
It’s bloody damp out there. Started r@&ning; about midnight.
Pretty much no snow now, looking snakey for riding opening weekend :(
Welcome to winter.

Damn straight. And Australia.
Well back at Chill Hill, it did not stop r@&ning; all day at Hotham. The patch of snow that we walked across last night to get to the lodge door has completely melted away.
The 4mtr high piles of snow that were at the Big D load are now about 1mtr high and only about 1/3 of the mass they were last weekend.
On the upside, it was entertaining to watch the new tow staff get taught how to bump chairs in the pouring rain, poor buggers
Such a shame we didn’t get a big cold system combining with all that r#^n; would have been a huge dump.
Saw this in the QV courtyard in CBD today
They made a little bit of snow overnight
Forecast is still disappointingly warm. What are the required conditions to make snow? Some combination of temperature and humidity?
Yeah, complicated stuff that I have not begun to understand.
dew point is the critical thing I beleive!
what a difference to last years opening. I was so pumped at this stage as i knew i was heading up for opening weekend, even if it did involve meeting K2
Can’t help bad luck!!
