I slept with a mouth guard in last night and wow! what a difference it made, couldn’t grind my teeth so woke up without a sore jaw and my neck feels better too.
It wasn’t the best nights sleep but I feel great this morning.

Danny you’ll have to spare a weekend in August to come along to the A Loose Alliance Pirate day!

If crackers can spare the time to run it again this year!

Sounds good! What’s the run down of it!? smile

Basically, a bunch of people of all different experience and skill levels head to selwyn, dress up as pirates for fun, ride the park there for $25 day pass and just hang out! Last year we had a few who’d never seen snow, along with those who’d been in comps, some over 50s, kids and everything inbetween!

Here is the promo from last year’s day (with footage from 2011). Crackers loosealliance channel also has a super fun vid from 2010 (the first day)

Last year ended up being pretty big and we had around 35 people stay in the caravan park at old adaminaby and we had a fun night at the pub saturday night. There was another 20ish people who had their own accommo or just turned up to ride on the day.

Here is a pic with a few of the folks from last year!

Was an awesome day / weekend. Depending if it happens this year and where I’ll be, I might try to get across for the main day again.

I’m the one holding the scallywag board above my head smile

Yo Sir Spazalot, or any other Northern Suburbs (Wollongong) people.

I need recommendations for a possible place to take a girl for some food and drinks that caters to the vegetarian folk out there in said suburbs.

I spend next o no time up there (except to surf occasionally) so have no idea.

Cheers

First place that came to mind was Outback steakhouse smile

Foodwise I never found a huge choice down there although what I did have was nice it was very high in meat content.

Is it a day or night date? Two places that come to mind would be Thirroul beach cafe which I’m pretty sure serves grog and surely would have a vegetarian option. The other option would be the AustiBeach Cafe (oops no alcohol by the looks of it).

For something a little more upmarket I was going to suggest something like panorama house at Bulli tops but looking at the menu she could be stuck with the steamed veges dish.

I probably haven’t helped at all but I’m sure the locals will chip in.

Haha outback is good, but yeh looking for something more northern,

Havent decided yet, prob be a night thing.

This place is awesome vegetarian food but it’s on Keira street. Not sure if it’s north or not - http://www.aulac-restaurant.com.au/

Their soy meat dishes are almost as good as the real thing, We had the banquet between like 12 people and there was no complaints for most of the dishes.

BYO alcohol

Oh yeh i live like 40 metres form that place.

Will keep it in mind for a later date. But since we had the last date near me (just around the corner from That place, was at The Living Room. Not a bad place)

But since she is from Northern Suburbs we want to go up around that area.

Cheers anyway mate!

Thought that might be the case. Still good knowledge to have cause it’s pretty awesome. Good luck on your date man!

What budget? What day?

Samuels is good, Bar next Door to Samuels less formal (haven’t eaten there in years - but heard no complaints).
Credo’s in Coledale is also good (if they are open - weird hrs)
Thailicous(?) (under Ryans) - we used to eat there often (ex is vego).
^just a short list there. Don’t go to little italy! - not a political reason it’s just terrible.

Gringos CaveBar - I’m working Fri/Sat from 6pm, can sort you out with a private dinning room with lounge style dinning (or at a table in a hidden corner by candle light) and a waiter tending solely to you (because I’m not working the restaurant - I’ll be setting up the bar and you can be my only customers). I’ll mix up some special cocktails and totally sort you out. Find out her favorite dish and I might even be able to twist the chefs arm.
I might also be working Thursday night in the restaurant but haven’t heard yet.

PM’d you Deano. wink
