. . . they were gun riders . . .
Skiers don’t “ride”, they ski.
Skiers Ski,
Boarders Board
We all shred the mountain, who cares what people call it.
. . . who cares what people call it.
Do you ‘drive’ your motorbike?
Haha!! I definitely don’t ride my car..
I say going for “a ride” or “a drive” in my car.
And more than often ask people to go for a ski when using my board.
I definitely consider what I do on my board as skiing.
My apologies Mein fuhrer
I say going for “a ride” or “a drive” in my car.
If you’re in control of a car, you’re driving it. If you’re a passenger in a car, you’re riding in it.
And more than often ask people to go for a ski when using my board.
Because they’re idiots?
I definitely consider what I do on my board as skiing.
Why, you’re not an idiot?
haha, no not at all. Because I use my edges to turn and drive through the snow. Not slide and slip.
I draw a skiers line - short turns, long carving and attack moguls.
Not that it really matters.
Boogy boarders still surf, swimming in waves is surfing, goat boating is surfing. I don’t see that it’s any different on snow - going downhill aided by gravity on snow, in a controlled manner is skiing.
I use my edges to turn and drive through the snow. Not slide and slip.
Yeah, you ride a snowboard the way it’s supposed to be ridden - properly utilising the board’s sidecut. Therefore, you’re most definitely “snowboarding”. In fact, that’s an aspect of skiing taken directly from snowboarding.
I draw a skiers line . . .
No, you draw a snowboarder’s line. The first skis with sidecut were referred to as “carve skis” because they were able to mimic the carving action of snowboards.
Not that it really matters.
Of course it matters. Where would we be if everyone chose to be so inaccurate and apathetic with their descriptions in other aspects of life?
Boogy boarders still surf, swimming in waves is surfing, goat boating is surfing.
That’s because it’s all done in the “surf”.
I don’t see that it’s any different on snow - going downhill aided by gravity on snow, in a controlled manner is skiing
It’s completely different! The different forms of “surfing” you describe are referred to as such due to where they’re done - whereas the various forms of “going downhill” on snow take their names from the apparatus used.
someone SMS me when it’s over.
Just stop replying to him and change the subject and it goes away pretty quick.
Best iPhone case ever!
I’ve made my point. If people choose to remain ignorant of the facts, that’s their prerogative.
Opinion not facts.
I do agree about the term “apparatus used”.
Ignorance is the last term you should use to describe my view, the points I’ve made are not through ignorance but developed out of experience and skill of both apparatus used.
Experience and skill do not equal ignorance.
Being offensive by calling me a name to get your opinion heard makes all you say invalid. You are diverting the conversation by turning it into a childish argument. A stubborn and pig headed view does little to make you look intelligent.
No intelligent person would create a rift between people that enjoy the same sport just because of the equipment used without a motive.
Where is the love?
That is an awesome phone case!!
I was so close to buying the t-shirt with the led arc reactor.. Would be awesome night boarding haha!! But I was worried about falling on the battery pack..
