Ladies, Gents and Surfers alike..
We’re about to embark on the 3rd stop of the WCT at Barra Da Tijuca, Rio, Brazil as of tomorrow the 8th of May.
It should be a blinder of a comp.. All the top seeds will be seeking revenge on the in-form Brazilian competitors (De Souza, Toledo, and Monterio) at their home break after their stella performances at Bells Beach to knock down Slater, Parko, Taj, Jordy and Fanning.
WCT new comer Nat Young (Bells runner up) will be one to keep a close eye on.
Steph Gilmore (Aus) is out due to injury and Yadin Nicol (Aus) returns to the line up after shoulder surgery.

Day 1.. Lay day called due to small waves and howling onshore winds… Bummer.
An unstoppable Tyler Wright has taken out the women’s division at the Rio Pro in Brazil, while Sally Fitzgibbons got runner up!
Both these girls put on great shows, but it was Wright with her flowing turns and a great aerial display that got her the crown…

What a round of finals in the Billiabong Pro Rio 2013!! Jordy Smith came off trumps against an inform Adriano De Souza in the final! Both Jordy and Adriano threw down some serious airs!
Jordy took out Mick Fanning in the Semis while Adriano took down fellow Brazilian Gabe Medina in his Semi..
World champ Joel Parkinson took a bow out in the earlier rounds. He went down to Glen Hall in round 3… Lets hope he bounces back in the Volcom Fijian Pro, which kicks of on the 6th of June… Watch this space
