The Libs don’t need a ‘plan’ just yet. Why bother? Why let Labor steal the Libs’ ideas and claim them as their own? It’s far more sensible just to sit back and let Labor self-destruct.
True to form, there’s bound to be plenty of dodgy back room deals and fire sale action going on in the final weeks leading up to the Labor/Green alliance’s inevitable demise - so the true extent of the “financial black hole” we’ll be in can’t be calculated yet. Therefore, figuring out what’s required to return to surplus is also best left until shortly after Clean Up Australia Day (September 14) when the Coalition will take over - because only then will they truly know how much trouble we’re in due to the gross incompetence of the current government.
