Can’t do a day trip there.
But who would go to NZ for a day?
Can’t even remember the last time I went to our resorts for a day…
haha mr.h0zs little bro did a similar thing we went down, Friday/Saturday, he cam down the friends of ours on the Saturday who wee dong Saturday/Sunday, (we hired the one place for 2 nights and stayed in it 1 night each) and mr.h0zs bro decided to come back with us Saturday arvo because his gf would gf the shits… (we all told him she was welcome to come and if she dint want to she should be stopping him… he bought a season pass and did 3 days total last season..)
so he drove 500kms, 6.5 hours down from 2am.. boarded for 7 hours, then did the same return trip.. getting home about midnight..
this year he didn’t get the early bird prices, because of last year, then got a snow board for xmas… and has now brought a season pass for 1700… we told him he has to do about 17 days to make it worth it..
That trip with Tj,
Tuesday - I had just driven overnight from Thredbo, but it puked since I had left (first real snow of the season 22nd June, 2011).
Tuesday evening - I sooked about not being in Thredbo on BW, Tj contacted me via text (using his stalking prowess to get my #), within hours he was on a train heading to Campbelltown. I hijacked mums car, picked up Tj and we arrived in Thredders about 2am.
Scored great snow, really great Aussie pow (one of my best pow days in 10y).
Had epic Pizza for dinner and scored free beers at Ullr.
Slept until 11pm then drove back (I was renting a unit in Thredbo village Square for the season), crashed at mums for 1hr then drove Tj to train station so he could get to work. That arvo I picked my daughter up from school.
I drove 1500km in 4days for half a day riding + 120 to pick my daughter up. Tj never got busted for chucking a sicky. It was awesome!
The next Monday I drove back to Thredbo to ride with my new flatmate - chucky!
In 7days I drove close to 2500km.

And we got back around 11pm but you didn’t drive me to the station until about 6am so we had a bit more than 1h sleep (not sure if you did but I definitely did).
Never got caught.

I knew I wouldn’t recall it correctly - you know old age and all.
