Exciting news!

But yeah when would you start (although I know with mine jobs it can take a while so hopefully not til after winter!)

From what i have heard its very early on, so not for a while.
Roster is 26/9 so its a pretty sweet roster, in winter days off will be at the snow, in summer in Bali

That is a farken hideous roster.  I worked 28/10 once 12 hour day 7 days a week and I was so over it and I only did it twice from memory.  This was in PNG though so perhaps WA has slightly better conditions and maybe even some entertainment after hours, I doubt they have booze though.

Oh and some of you may recall I posted in this thread a while back I think about a sick barrel I got about 2 weeks ago.  As I was walking up the beach from a surf today I ran into a mate I hadn’t seen for a while.

We had a chat and I mentioned I had been surfing the reef on the southern headland a bit lately and he asked if I had surfed it a couple of weeks ago mid week, a bit after lunch.  I said yeah and it was probably the day I got a sick barrel out there.  He’s like “fark I thought it mighta been you, I saw you take off and pull in and I was so sure you were finished I looked away for a couple of seconds and then I turned back around and saw you get spat out the end of it, that was bullshit”.  Barrels are so much better when someone you know see’s them, took a while to find out but very stoked someone I know saw it!

same kinda thing as when you land a sick jump or drop on a snowboard, well for me it is anyways nothing wrong with a healthy does of ego boost

Its alot better rosters then some of my mates!
