Scrape wax off in the shade (in the morning while board cold).
Use scouring pad to get invisible bits off base.
File edges (especially burs).
Clean with cloth dampened with grease wax remover (but not too much) - you can skip this step as chemicals can damage base.
Wipe clean with new cloth before grease/wax remover evaporates to soak up waxy residue.
(you can be anal and clean with soap/water now or even high pressure washer).
Those with P-tex skills - fill gouges and do repairs.
Put board in sun base up.
Loosen off binding.
Heat wax on iron and rub block into base (touch wax to iron after each application), do this over the board so drips fall on base. this is alternate methode to dripping over and spreading - it uses less wax and easier clean up
Smooth wax over base with iron - try to get as even as possible.
as mentioned NEVER leave iron in one place - it will destroy your board-
Do all ironing in sunlight. In the snow I heat board in drying room or over heater then either wax in the sun or in warm room.
Put board in shade to cool or leave outside in cool air.
Scrape off wax from nose to tail in smooth long strokes. If indoors a plastic bag hooked on end of board is good for catching scrapings (they can be reused if desperate)
Use scouring pad to buff base.

Repeat every 5-10 hours of riding.
Especially wax the night before a powder day!

My preferred method is to hold a waxing party the night it is snowing - supply beer but not drink it and get everyone drunk, wax a few boards. Hope everyone sleeps in with hangover and get freshies to myself in the morning. wink

You have a similar logic to me..

“diet plan:
Make all my friends cupcake…
The fatter they get.. the thinner I look”

Bahaha

Yeh Mr.h0z and I wax our boards with everyone usually in his garage with heat lamps on.. (or at the snow in the garage of the house we rent.. with a heater on)

We have a whole kit.. (drop sheet, iron, 3 types of wax, brushes, different grades of scouring pads, scrapers, edging tools, etc.)

Pink sunburn - not red haha

I always board in a long sleeve.
Gravel rash from snow is epically intense on sunburned arms.

I learned that all in one day - since then I’ve built up a collection long sleeve tops. But mainly now wear a long sleeve compression top with a T-shirt on those warm spring days (or a spongebob costume).

I rode spongebob through the Perisher halfpipe during the shred last year.
Also almost got knocked out on the Mt.P chair infront of everyone.
And took him to 100km/h.
