You’re right, he does tweak it mid trick. That’s what makes it different from a normal double cork. It changes the axis he’s spinning on mid trick when he tweaks into japan grab mode. So steezy.
You should try and find the clip of him trying to land it in competition. He never landed it but he was doing a way more serve version of it. It looked like he was going from spinning to flipping in mid air!
Yeh the tweaking is what makes it, because it stops the second invert and makes it an invert to spins

I think this is more like a double rodeo with a tweaked out japan. I think Sage Kotsenburg did a double cork 10 with a Japan air.
