Still getting taken to the first post of each thread rather than the latest post. Same for everyone else?
Just got back from a swim so it could be salt water in my eyes but the forum seems to be looking much better than earlier. Easier to differentiate between posts now with the blueish background with dotted line followed by white background.
The look of the quotes is still doing my head in though.

It worked.
The bottom the page doesn’t have a quick navigation like we used to have, I used it 95% of the time.
Otherwise I’m liking the simplicity.
We will restyle and add later.

I can’t remember but did it used to show the name of the most recent poster from the main forums page?
Will get to that. Just focussing on the big stuff first. Getting the layout right etc.

What do you mean exactly? What are you clicking on to be taken to the first post rather than the latest?
We tried to fix the look of the forums, giving it subtle differentiation without major changes. We experimented with grey and different colours and nothing really worked. I think this option was the best for sure.
Will look into quote options.

When I click on the link to any of the threads I’m taken to the first post, I then have to scroll all the way to the bottom and click “last page” and then find the post I had read up to.
I’m pretty sure previously it would take you to the last post you had read by default whilst logged in.
Yeah at first it was just too stark imho which gave the impression of a big wall of text. At least now with the dotted line it’s easier to differentiate between two posts.

Not so much that - I rarely used that feature more as a link back to the General, Photo/film, Surfing Forums at the bottom of the page so when I had finished reading I didn’t have to scroll back to the top.
Smiley button absent in Fast Reply and not working in Post New Reply.

I agree.
I don’t think the darker lines are working. But didn’t know what to suggest.
Maybe a faint grey line box around the whole quote? Subtle but may be easier to read at a glance.

What about having the Quote Box in a Negative Form of whatever it’s in at the time?????
ie A Quoted post that’s in a White Box, will be in the Grey Colour!!!!!
And this will just alternate each time it’s quoted?????
That way at least the colours/appearance of the pages won’t look messy?????
Yeah most other forums I’m on either put the quote in a different colour text or the one that’s easiest to distinguish is the quote in a separate box with a different colour background.
