Yeh im currently looking around that area, im honestly open to anything that is warm, scuba etc. She has her Padi open water cert so that would be a bonus to do that.
such a dyslexic idiot, I read that as she has her iPad certificate (smacks head)
Port Douglas is purely a resort town. If you don’t mind a bit of a drive, it’s cheaper to stay in Cairns and hire a car 1 day for the rain forest and then get a boat to the reef. We went to Green Island but I’d recommend paying the extra and going to the outer reef as long as you’re decent swimmers.
There is also the Mossman gorge if you have time which is quite nice and an option to go on the Karunda Railway / Sky Car which is supposed to be good too (we ran out of time).
last week the Kuranda sky way broke down for hours, with honeymoon couple on board, French, (ticking any boxes???) and they did what honeymooners do, for hours…. does that help?
Haha tambo! That’s awesome
p.s. My phone auto corrects you from “tambo” to “Rambo” and I always have to go back and change it bahahaha
Haha Rambo,
that sounds romantic! stuck for hours mmmm lol
Rambo. too funny
It’s a long enough ride anyway, and normally not to busy (unless you arrive in a bus group). They are gondolas and if you’re really “lucky” will get it when foggy/mist. But the ride is well hidden in parts anyway
Anyone done the peak to peak gondola challenge in Whis?
A mate of mine has a few times haha
