So im thinking of taking Ms Frenchy on a mini holiday.

Was thinking Perth,Broome or the Whitsundays.

Any hot tips on any of the above? places to stay? deals? friend of a friend hookups?

Both a bit more backpacker-ish but thats not so bad for your age.

Or slightly more upmarket is Long Island. cheaper than Hamilton Island.

Back on the backpacker idea but look into the “tours” that go to whitehaven beach on yachts/catamaran

I may be Old School (note that I included the word school, even though I’m not educated), but I reckon a quiet shack down the coast, in a secluded little holiday town, a fire on the beach, swimming and walking along side the water, cookin a bbq and drinkin champagne, is at least 48% than any resort holiday!!!!!

If it’s in the next week or so I would recommend Cabarita Beach near Byron,  the fact I’m working there and think I’m entitled to observation and opinion of Ms Frenchy has nothing todo with it

Aw man… I types up a full rant on where to go.. pictures and all.. and it didn’t post.. *devo*
Anyways here goes.. again…

I agree with going down south.. my other half and I have been to Jervis Bay 3 times.. first was an hour stop at murrays beach.. just to see the place..

Next was a day trip to whitings beach.. 

And last was a weekend in Huskisson with a day at hyams beach… (notice each stay got longer… because its awesome!!)

I would recommend staying in Huskisson..  as its central to everything and only a 10 min drive to hyams beach (which is in the Guinness records for the worlds whitest sand)

And if you both don’t mind a bit of a walk… definitely check out whitings beach.. its a 4km walk through bush on a track, each way… but so worth it takes around 45 mins for one way.. but you end up with a private beach…

Also… just think if you walk to whitings.. you will be on a private deserted beach.. with miss French in a bikini… haha

And you can call into the south coast wineries on the way, I recommend Coolangatta winery and two figs winery (this one had an awesome view because its up on a hill..) and are both right near seven mile beach..
