Where do you draw the line with resort entry $

Avatar

to be fair,
Cost of a day ticket resort entry, purchased online for Hotham hasn’t increased this year. It’s the same as last year.
Hotham, $43.50/day
Falls $40/day

Ok $3.50 a day.

But if Falls can do early bird for $270, why can’t Hotham get closer to that. ( Best they offered was $395 for season 2013 back in October 2012, and only on sale briefly).

Interestingly, we received an invitation today to the 2013 Australian Alpine Resorts Forum, jointly run by Snow Australia, and ARCC. A mere $275, but we might learn to sell snow better!

Okay “to be fair” the day price into Kozi is $27 per car per day…

And if for some reason you decide to go over to another resort during that “day” you don’t have to pay again…

BTW that rate above is winter rates… its only $16 a day in summer.

Is there any change in price in winter vs summer in VIC?

No cost in summer, these charges are only for the declared snow season.

The resorts are within National Parks, but aren’t part of the park. Dogs are allowed. The park starts at the edge of the patrolled area. That’s another point of difference. Dinner Plain, is within the park also, but property there is freehold. There’s a small amount of freehold at Hotham itself, but most is leasehold.
