Must say always had a soft spot for Crean (even though I didn’t live in Aus when he was leader of the opp) because he came straight off the plane in London to the Walkabout at Temple and drunk beers(at 7am) with the Aussies while the world cup was on back at home. And due to some connections at the time I was introduced to him and he pretended to know my sister 
it was sweet but I was under no illusions he knew who she was although she was only one of a very small amount of females doing her job at the time. So it was possible he would recognise her face but not her name!
