How do the APX’s fit? I’ve been considering getting a pair since they came out, but never had a look at them in person. They seem huge.
I would like a new helmet and new googles. But not sure i can be bothered… hate looking for both of them!
But other than that I am set this year!
Yeah i am looking on getting anon m1 or m2 goggles.
they look nice and from what i can tell very good quality but who know ...

Haha I think it just keeps the snow side of my mind busy and some of the sales available at the moment make it hard to say no!
However now it’s super hard looking at my new board and other gear every day not being able to actually use it so you can’t win!

These of the APXs so the smaller version of the APX. They seem to fit very similar to my dragon rogues on my face (which is a good thing as my rogues are the best fit I’ve had before these)
Externally they don’t look stupidly huge (similarish to my previous smith i/o) and fit very nicely with my bern helmet. I can’t speak for the full sized APX as I was nearly 100% sure they’d be too big for me. After my initial try on of the APXs I’m pretty stoked with them and non snow people (i.e my parents) both commented that they looked good. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I’ll see if I can answer them for you.

Yep a new helmet is also on my shortlist. I’m happy with my current bern but it has taken a few hits now. I’m feeling super paranoid about riding Aussie ice again after being spoilt by Japan powder where I couldn’t hurt myself no matter how hard I tried.
My holy grail will be the moment I find a face mask I’m happy with. What I wouldn’t do for something I don’t get too hot in, can actually breath through without feeling like I’m suffocating, doesn’t freeze and is easy to put on and off. I’m pretty close to pulling the trigger on a merino wool buff as merino layers haven’t let me down in the past.

I actually tried some of those on in the past. They were a good fit on my face actually and I had them high on my list. Unfortunately they seemed to review really poorly though with lots of people not real happy with the magnet system.
Drc I agree with you.. Just this week I got new bindings and gloves, now looking at another set of pants.. ( I have 4 jackets but only 2 pants..)
Also eventually looking at another board.. ( I have 2 sets of bindings but only 1 board atm.. Lol!)

LOL well going by that post you NEED at least 2 more pairs of pants (everyone needs 4 sets of outerwear), another board (dual boarding is destined to take off) and a helmet (brains are important).
You better get on it!

Yeah I was reading customer reviews when I was interested in them, I’ll have a look around and let you know.
Edit: are the M2 the very new model of the M1 (can’t see them on Anons site) If I recall correctly when I was looking into it the reviews were for the M1 so maybe the M2 has sorted out the flaws?

Warren Chapstick had a pair in Japan that he wore with his SandBox Classic, and they seemed to fit well!!!!!
Best to shoot him a PM, and ask him if he had any dramas?????

4 jackets,
2 pants,
2 goggles,
2 Sets of bindings
3 pairs of gloves
4 (possibly 5) beanies
3 thermal head bands (like a beanie with out the top half)
About 3 sets of cheap head phones.. (in case one gets broken or I lend one out)
3 pairs of socks
1 pair of boots
1 board
*also stored away are my roof racks and my board brackets that slide.off the car - cos im too short to put the boards o er the middle of the roof bahah
(and in my defence.. I’ve have used all of said gear multiple times and lent stuff out a few times too.. 4 jackets come in handy for 2 week trips.. I don’t have to wash them and reapply the waterproofer.. I just wear a new one after a few days.. Lol. cos after a day boarding i usually just Wana shower, eat dinner.. And sit down, lol)

Looking forward to your post in “packing tips for shred tips” when you battle with the 23kg baggage limit for your flight. Could be the first boeing with a mazda strapped to the roof!
Hahahahah!! Na when I go os ill take 1 maybe 2 jackets Probs 1 pair of pants, the boots one set.of goggles Probs 2 sets of gloves and socks and 1 board with bindings..
A helmet and 1 beanie.. On weekend trips I take what I need and maybe 1 spare of stuff im likely to lose eg. Gloves (and socks cos I hate wearing board socks after a days riding.. So I take a pair of both days) and usually just trackies and a jumper/jacket and 2 tops 2 singlets and 2 pairs of tights ( to wear when boarding - thermals are too hot for me in aus)

I got a tripod the other day to mount the camera on. Going to have a test run, put it up on the surf club balcony pointed in the general direction and shoot video and see how it turns out.
