Been surfing a lot lately, a shitload actually and haven’t really done much else other than the odd walk up till this week. Got a bee in my bonnet about doing some “cross training” this week, has been interesting and painful. Got back into the weights, not exactly big time but still, did shoulders on Monday after a quick surf but threw in abs between every different exercise and a bunch of light but full ROM squats. Holy fark I had no idea how weak my legs were and how stuffed my knees felt until I did those squats.
I am now on a mission to do full ROM squats as often as I can, either bodyweight or light weight until my leg muscles actually start supporting my knees again. Tuesday I went with a 4km SUP in the morning, 90mins of tennis in the arvo and did a weights session concentrating on arms with squats, lunges and abs thrown in, big day. Yesterday I went for 3km walk in the morning trying to lossen up my legs and a 3km SUP in the arvo, as it was short I went all out, 3km under 24mins, average speed about 7.7kmh according to my sports tracker app, then went to Braza for a protein load up ha ha!
Today was a surf for about 90mins and later chest and back weights session with squats and lunges. So far so good this week, will keep it up till I head to Tonga in 21 days!

I’ve been really lazy since getting back from our road trip. I swam 1km yesterday but I need to do more. Will try get my ass to gym today for a workout and swim. I will report back once I’m back into the swing of things.

I’m in a bit of a world at the moment with aches and pains, it would appear I have been surfing too much! My knee hurts, my back hurts, my shoulders hurt, my neck hurts, my arms hurt, the only things that don’t are my abs, chest and ankles. Might be time to do something else for a couple of days.

did…i forget how many rounds of this. wasnt really couting. Mre just to get a feel of it and whether i want to adjust it to suit.
4km paddle this morning, weights the sarvo and then BRAZA for a stomach workout tonight ha ha!
For the last month 4-6 weeks ive been swimming 2km 4 times a week and running 7-9km twice a week with some surfing thrown in there when im not at uni!! Feeling gooooooood mofo’s! x

1.5 hours of tennis tonight
10k ride, 5k on the cross trainer and about 5k’s of interval training.
Needed to burn off the Easter eggs at work.
Down 5 kilos this month with another 10 needed before start of the season.
Any suggestion for some snowboard specific training.
