May I suggest saving your contacts to some form of cloud based system this time so it doesn’t happen again (I use google contacts, pretty sure iCloud includes this if for some reason you went with an iPhone)

It’s amazing how many people still store all there contacts on the sim or physical phone.

By Samsung I presume you mean Android?

If so do you have a gmail/google account?

I don’t have itunes installed so can’t check but I’m pretty sure they used to have a setting to sync itunes contacts to a google account.

There’s also a way to sync them from the iPhone but I’m presuming it’s not detecting on the computer?

The other option is to export the contacts to a csv file or vcard from itunes. You can then import the contacts from the csv file or vcard into your place of choice.

This will only export the basics though (name, number) it probably won’t retain fancier things like address, contact pics etc)

You could build a marketing campaign on that. Buy a phone get NBG’s deets! I’m sure the ladies would be all over it.

OT but guessing you would have had a fun day today as the surf was pumping down here. Went for a swim and the water was like a bath, good fun until something decided to sting me on the back!

Does itunes detect your iPhone when you connect it to the computer? I’ve done some googling for you and it looks pretty easy if it does (in line with my advice above i.e sync from itunes to google contacts) but I didn’t see much if you can’t get the phone showing in iTunes. Getting off computer soon so I might have to leave that answer to someone more familiar with iTunes than me.

awww this was your chance to shine!

Presuming you can’t access your contacts without an iPhone connected to iTunes (which would be crazy inconvenient but I can’t rule it out) You could find someone else with an iPhone and use them as a donor. They could backup their phone then restore a copy of your backup from itunes onto that phone. You would then be able to sync the contacts from either itunes or the iphone directly to google contacts or other cloud based contact service. Lots of stuffing around but it could work.
