When I was 12 I was in love with these
Ah yes the Walkinshaw.
Being a true race fan and die hard Brocky lover I had to loath them.
I don’t like WRX’s simply because you don’t get to drive it as much as your thief does.
Bit of a myth that one!
My Excel was the most stolen make model year in Australia! And my insurance premium reflected that!
The funny thing is the vandals who tipped it TRIED to break in and failed. The tipping was frustration. So was the kicking the shit out of it!
Grr double….
This is the commodore previous. Designed by Brock “The Director”.
When the Walkingshaw was built Brock left Holden and drove a ford because they scrapped the Director and claimed the Walkinshaw wasn’t copied.

That stat was more like “The most stolen car recovered by police” hehe
The WRX was often stolen to be used for robberies since they easily outran the cops.
I can’t not laugh at the idea of a get away car being an Excel.
Talking about putting it through the rear splitfold seat without having to put all of the rear seat down. That red thing woulda needed the front seat down unless it your talking boogeyboards!
No rear seats, and yeah front seat back and down!!!!!
12 year old me wanted one of these!!!!!

Ahhhhh, Mizu, you to watched Smokey and the Bandit many many times
I thought this would have been more popular back in the day you were 12 Mizu?
Or am I getting ahead of myself?
My next door neighbours on one side had a Walkinshaw, the other side had a black HDT VH Brock Commodore. The other cars the neighbours had were an LJ Torana, a HZ 350 ute and an VH SLE, I kinda had to end up liking Holdens.
Just imagine if you bought a ford!
Mum liked Holden - she’s the one that made me a petrol head. The rest of the family were into fords, except grandpop - he didn’t care less and was more into building them himself, like tearing down a Triumph moto engine, supercharging it with a plane’s cockpit compressor and building a frame around it with wheels and a seat.
I like that Bugatti.
