Ahoy boardworld peeps,
My lovely mother has splurged out and has bought my whole family a Canadian and Alaskan tour/cruise that we leave for at the end of April. Parts of this tour take me to some of the Canadian snow fields such as Banff, lake Louise and WHISTLER. So I’m wondering if anyone here has any experience as to what sort of snow ,if any, will be left around the first week of may. I only get to stay at each of the resort mountains for a couple if days but if I can get a slide in I’d be super stoked. I don’t plan on taking any hardware over there as I assume there will be good end of season bargains to be had while I’m there???
Thanks in advance for your info

You can board the glacier all year round in whistller. But the majority of snow leaves in April.

I have had a couple of really good powder days in April, but the snow doesn’t stick around for long. It’s definitely spring conditions but you can get some decent snowfalls. You should be able to go for a shred early May in Whistler. I guess it depends what the snowpack is like. Does anyone know the current official closing date? (they extended it last year).
EDIT: Just checked. Blackcomb closes on May 20th (Whistler closes April 21st).
well it looks like i might be a chance for a slide which is rad, otherwise id have just have to stick to boozing the whole time. Either way its win win
That’s the spirit!
