Going back to school…

Thanks Spaz! Yeah it was the main feedback I got from Perisher that I needed to work on my voice, which I totally agree I don’t have much experience in presentation and reading news etc and I have even less guidance in the matter. Mind you the Perisher stuff was very spur of the moment unscripted un-practiced stuff. Often I was told lets do a report, come up with a script in your head and we’ll film it on the spot. Which isn’t an easy thing to do and do well when you don’t have much experience in voice and presentation. and yes confidence is rarely an issue for me raspberry

So I’m looking forward to this course hopefully it will benefit me!

Now you mention it Spaz I didn’t even know SBS was revamping it’s second channel! I just had a quick look, sounds fun, I’m emailing the relevant parties now smile cheers!

I’m thinking of heading back to Uni next year. BA Media/Comm. is right up there as an option at the moment. Looking at doing a few graphic design units as well.

What do you want to major in your Comm course? I did Bachelor of Communication majoring in journalism, graduated in 2009, it’s a b*** of an industry to crack but worth it I guess because I’ll end up doing something I love for my job. I keep telling myself that.

Anyway I’m going back to school too! I’m going to UTS to study presentation and voice training for TV and radio. I’m looking forward to it, it’s kinda like a drama course so should be fun.

I’m at work today, in the worst mood ever, I’m stressing about my job and stuff. I bumped into one of the journos and he just told me that the live cross I did with Channel ten at the start of the skibum thing was a whole lot better than most of the live crosses we do here and I should show it to the head of news, I’m going to do that hopefully I can start getting some TV shifts soon. smile

Anyway it’s nice to be complimented when things don’t seem so rosy!

Hey Ash, I’m probably going to Major in PR and do a few graphic design units. Hopefully allowing me to at least get a minor in graphic design.

Good idea to have credit in your career profile, 3 months is really good and quicker…

Realised to better off with more than 2 qualifications, I was fortunatley to find job in trade shortly since the redundancy from drafting industry. Looked up in drafting position online and its really dry atm, so I went back in the trade.
Now I’m fabricator (boilermaker) working long hours till the project is finished in few months. thats why I was quiet in this forum later on yeah pretty worn out!

Also I keep telling any people to try any options on studies like Jez for example…

Have a fun study Jez   shaka
