The STOKE thread
Stoked with my freestyle lesson last sat, learnt some more cool tricks! And gave me lots of stuff to work on… Also stoked that i’ve found a friend to come with me to hotham on the 28th! That’s every weekend booked with snow! woo woo
Stoked that the weekend is over… Isnt that an odd one.
But which I now had a weekend to get over my weekend. It was a family filled weekend, but the distant family just isnt as fun as the family that is a bit closer, ya know.
I’m stoked that for my upcoming winter. I have agreed with my wife to do the early season staff training at my usual resort (Winterplace, WV), but then commit to the minimum day requirement for Snowshoe, WV which is a much larger and nicer place… They are owned by the same people that own Whistler (Intrawest). I’ve worked there for 2 seasons in the past, but it’s been a while. It will be nice to be there again. I just dont really know anyone when I get up there, and because Im part time and not very consistent with my schedule, it’s not as easy to make friends…. but there’s usually someone to ride with.
So, I need to contact them and see about getting on the team, verify the minimum day commitment etc.
So NOT stoked about the Australian government

When I’m there like, every other or every 3rd weekend it’s difficult.
I have enjoyed my evenings there though. I’d get off the snow in the evening. go home to the cabin I stay at, just a short 5 mile drive off the mountain… stoke (pun intended) the fire so it’s nice and warm when I return… and then hit the hot tub. They have 2 outdoor hottubs! one is slightly covered in a gazebo. I can watch the sunset from there too.
The gazebo is the round structure in the back left of the photo. It is partially enclosed.
I cant find a pic of the sunset from there.
But it is a nice relaxing time.
Then I head back to the cabin, and read or watch one of the 3 channels on the TV, like the weather and get to sleep. I’m sure to get up early to make it to the mountain on time for first tracks!
I’m pretty STOKED to get the Burton catalog for 10-11 in the mail today.
I’m STOKED that yesterday I bought a new computer. A Macbook Pro, and I get a free iPod Touch 8G. Which should arrive, possibly tomorrow, with the computer arriving Monday or Tuesday.
I’m stoked that I got to spend time with my son today, because yesterday when I got home from job #1, he was taking a nap, and when I got home from job #2, he was asleep for the night. I did get to hold him and see him for a moment when he woke up crying at about midnight, before I had gone to sleep myself.

aww that would have to suck mizu… oh well its still rocken for me, late nights and LONG sleep in’s….thats the life 
cheers guys… yeah as you said mizu, huge weight off my shoulders… now to find out if i can get into staff housing again. If not I’ll have to probably get in a bit earlier than planned to find a place to live but it’s all gravy.

Stoked to have spent the day at Buller today and to find out that the mother in law is trying to redeem all her prior terrible birthday presents by sending us up again next weekend all expenses paid.
