Anyone got any feedback on ThirtyTwo boots in particular quality, comfort and are they generally considered a wide boot and do they fit close to the size or a little big or small.
I am looking at getting a pair of Women’s STW boa’s for the +1 and really just doing the early research before trying them on. I have always heard good things with ThirtyTwo.
Any help would be great cheers!
There was one thing a mate mentioned about his lashed boots and that was that the tongue on the inner wasn’t secured by anything like velcro etc and had a tendancy to twist around to the side of the boot, not sure if it’s the same for other boots in their range so this could be a useless post, just something to check out..
Hi Hammo,
32s are a really good boot - got a good four seasons out of the last pair I had even though they were one of the cheaper models (a prion). Riding DC’s atm but my next pair will probably be Team 2s.
In my experience they have tighter fit around the heel and also a wider toe box than many other brands, which is great if your feet fit this shape profile. I find a lot of brands are the opposite - for me they are one of only a few brands that fit my feet really well.
Also, I’ve found the sizing is on the larger size, well it was a few years ago at least. I’m typically a 10 in most makes/models but the size 9 32 fit perfectly.
Hope this helps…..
Thanks guys!
Any girls on the forum wearing them?
I have tested almost the full range of ThirtyTwo boots. I honestly find them to be one of the best boot brands on the market. They are lightweight and very well made; their liners are fantastic. They heat-mold very well and give you a superb fit. I have not used any of the new boots with the Fast Track lacing system, but I spoke to a few instructors who have been riding them all season - the feedback was all very positive.
That said, each boot has a different shape; some are narrower and some are wider. Regardless of how well made a boot is, you really need to try on a range of different boots and brands, to ensure you get the right fit for your foot shape.
Don’t limit your +1 to a certain set of boots. She needs to be fitted properly - otherwise she will be in pain and off the mountain very quickly.

Quoted for truth.. I’m quite limited when buying boots as I’ve got relatively flat feet and getting an experts opinion and heatmoulding made a world of difference. Nothing worse than being held up on the mountain with people who have gear which isn’t fitted properly as not only do they lose riding time but you do too.
I have had a pair for a few seasons now. I dont use them much, as I changed back to my old… and I mean old pair, of first or second generation Burton Ions. Those are just too comfy.
but the 32 boot is made well. I’ve a couple stitching issues…. a lace loop, that was a piece of material on my Lashed boot came pulled out rather soon when I bought them… I was disapointed, but never asked them to replace it, so I dont know about the customer service experience.
Otherwise they are light and fit well.
I’m looking to buy new boots this year, but I think I’m going back to Burton’s boots myself.
In this image you can sort of see how the laces loop through a piece of material… the lacing area on the top of your foot, not the top part of the boot… Those lace loops is what pulled out. just one of them pulled out when tightening my boot.
32 did a not-so-cool thing to my local area distributors too, so local board shops wont carry them any more…
What they did was sell to a large discount store a large ammount of the same boots that the local small board shop ordered, and priced them under retail… early season. So, of course where would a customer go? to the discount retail store, and my local bro-owned board shop got the short stick, ya know?
They were pretty upset and vowed to cancel future orders and not order from 32 again.
I know this was a deal made from 32 corporate offices, and my local shop deals with the local rep, who had no pull on the deal with the large discount store, but still, it happened, and my local shop was pretty upset, I understand why.
Yeah thanks everyone, the +1 wore Burton’s in Japan this year and hated them, having said that I wear burton’s and like them. Just trying to do as much research before going into the shop. I think I will get her to try a few pair of 32’s
yeah thats it just do a bit of research but get her to try on as many pairs as possible until one stands out as a clear winner.
Took me 2 hours of tryin on boots and so glad I took the time, cause they were sweeeeet!!!!
haha that reminds me.. I ended up with a parking fine because i took waaay too long trying on too many pairs of boots before finding a set which were just right
I’ve been rocking a pair of 32 Prospects this season and I’d recommend them to anyone. The first day I wore them we had a bit of a hike so I was a bit iffy about the comfort, but by the next day they’d adjusted perfectly to my foot and I’ve loved them ever since. Although to be honest, my last boots seemed to feel better when they were done up really tiiiiight, but the 32s seem to work heaps better when left that little bit looser.
Can’t believe how light they are either. When I left the store with them I had to double check that they were even in the box!
