Siege Division Headphones

What’s in the box: Division headphones, a real nice carry bag (Microfiber Transit Sleeve is the official name), 3.5mm to 1/4” Snap-Type Jack Adapter, 3 stickers

I found this review quite hard to write as I wasn’t quite sure what all the parts of the headphones are called. I should start off by saying they sound great. Even though they are low-profile, it feels like you have some surround sound going on. They are quite light and I could see people snowboarding in these no problem, even if I am against the idea personally. They are a closed headphone, meaning they are great for places with a lot of peripheral noise since they cancel it out. Even if I don’t have the volume cranked I can’t hear much going on around me. When I dial the volume adjuster down to 0 then I can hear quite well through the headphones.
As you can see in the photo, I got the red ones. They are not a matte red but have little sparkles, or should I say a bit of metallic reflective bits in them. In a word, it’s a sick colour. The most impressive thing about them, to a layperson like me, are the wires. They aren’t cables - they’re string! It’s a new look and imo it works really well. I bet it lessens stress where they connect to the jack (which is where all my past headphones have died). Not sure if this is original tech but two thumbs up from me.
There’s a volume adjuster on the wires which does it’s job. I think it would work better turning down the volume than pulling the headphones off if someone starts talking to you.
I guess people would be most interested in the sound. To my ears, they sound great. I can hear everything perfectly.

The construction is solid. They look like will last me a while. The earpieces are pretty comfy too, with leather-esque material on the bit that touches your ear. The swiveling bits allow for a customized fit. All in all, a solid headphone.
I would say that these are underpriced for the quality.

Since they have great sound, fit great, look great and look quite durable I’ll give them a 10/10 in the Gamblor satisfaction ranking system (trademark pending raspberry )

Copied from another post about Siege Audio:

I am excited to say that I have a pair of these Siege headphones - the Stealth without the mic is what I have… in blue and I think they look very nice.
http://www.siegeaudio.com/product-stealth.html
I was imprressed the moment I got them from the packaging and all that was in it!
The bag they come in was a surprise, it’s pretty plush and a smooth looking bag, and not cheaply made either.
The headphones do seem to have a slimmer design that other earbud designs that I have seen and used.
The way they hang from your hear is a “lower profile” than others, that seem to hang at a right angle to your head. The Siege Stealth is a slim design that drapes down lightly, so a tug from the cord doesnt dislodge the ear bud, like other designs.

The colorways look fresh on the website, and I agree that in person they look that good!

Other ingredients in the packaging were more options for personalizing my fit that I can shake a stick at!
There was 3 soft “normal” style tips, in 3 sizes, and then there was a couple memory foam style squishy tips. I tried using these as I would squish them and then place them in my ear to let them re-expand and take form and stay in place. I liked trying these out.

I like using the bag, as I wrap them up in between use, and I keep the little ziplock baggie to keep all the options for different shape tips and things with it all.

The packaging also comes with a logo sticker, too.

I’ll post again later today about my experiences with using them and the various tips I have used.
So far I have about 40 miles (60+ kilometers) of running with the headphones and I look forward to more.

I’ll share those thoughts soon.

My second post about them:

I must say that I’ve put many miles on my Stealth headphones now and I’m well pleased.
The sound quality diddnt take long to appreciate, and I’ve had a few different brands of headphones, but not been so impressed. I honestly have heard things in songs that I never heard before. just suttle instrumentation or back ground vocals or sampling etc. things that were always there, but I’d never heard before on some of my favorite songs! seriously. I diddnt think that was possible.

the design of these I spoke a little about above. THe cord is very nice and high quality.
I have heard some complain that you can hear the cord rubbing together, and yes that occurs with these headphones when listening a low volume. But you dont have to be listening too loud to override that sound. I really dont like listening too loud myself but the rubbing I dont hear much at all. I also think it depends on which covers you have on at the time.

Funny thing about trying on the different covers btw…
Every one is different and the Stealh comes with 5 different options. I think I may be using a different size for each ear. honestly because I find that some work in oen ear better than another ear…. it’s a funny thin, but I guess my ears are different. Wouldnt many people experience this? i’d think so.
So lately the past couple time I’ve used them I have been using the largest size of the thin flimsy covers and they cancel out a bit more noise, but not all. (true noise canceling headphones cost Large $$$) They have fit well and dont seem to loosen much at all, but when they are ready to loosen, they just come right out.
I use them for running, which I think would be a good comparision for if using them snowboarding, as a lot of neck turning occurs and some bouncing motions… I’d think that these Siege buds would work best under my ear pads in my helmet, but I’d be curious to try just placing them in my ear pads and see if the volume can carry it to me.

the mid-cord volume feature is very nice. I like being able to adjust the volume rapidly when needed. I’m not sure how this would be accessible with a jacket and gloves on. but when running it’s right there (under my shirt) but right at the hem of my shirt. It does weigh a little, and at first I felt the need to hold it all the time, but I soon got used to it and just let it hang now.

I tend to run a lot at night, now that it is summer and too hot during the day time. and I wear a chest strap thing that runs over my shoulders and around my body.
As the cord runs underneath it helps hold it in place so I like that.

Along the cord there are 2 adjustable pieces between the ear buds and the volume control. these slide up and down both right and left cords so you can choose where the cord splits at. This is a nice feature that you dont get with cheaper brand headphones.

I must say that I full condone these headphones and they are superior to the Skullcandy buds I have tried.

As for the “on-the-ear” headphones that I have from skullcandy, I like them and I cant compare them to the Siege buds, as that is comparing apples to oranges, but I’d be curious to know if the sound quality is also the same degree of improvement. I have not been disappointed with the sound quality from the skullcandy on-the-ear headphones, but I sure have been with the Siege buds, so I would guess they would be pretty awesome.

Sure it’s a bit to invest, but honestly you dont want to have to spend that money twice. And SC wont give you 20%!
