Surf Today

Ha ha ha, I don’t think the city beaches are a great setting for BW surf school eh? Lanox do you live close to the beach? I had a hard time understanding as a kid what people who didn’t surf did all day, I couldn’t fathom life without it. It’s been the single most engrossing thing I have ever done in my life. I call it a thing because I don’t know how to accurately label it, it’s kind of a sport but that’s not all encompassing enough, it’s a bit of a pastime but that kinda insulting, it’s way more than a hobby and to call it a lifestyle is a bit bad surf movie bohdi zen style bullshit.
Suffice to say I get more out of surfing then anything else I have ever done, probably why I love snowboarding so much as occasionally I get the same sort of feeling from it but never as much or as intense, maybe I need to go big mountain riding with Jeremy Jones or something ha ha ha, I must not be trying hard enough.
That came dangerously close to being pseudo psychological babblings of a delusional surfer dude, I’ll stop that now before I embarass myself.
Lanox if you live in reasonable proximity to the beach, like 15mins or so, buy yourself a board of some description, you said you have bodyboarded before right?
Oz if you think you suck at snowboarding come and have a surf lesson ha ha ha!
Oh I sucked at surfing too! But would give it another go!

nthn, yeah i have a bodyboard, live 20 min walking from cooggee beach and maybe 15 min drive from marubra beach, that is why i was saying come down one day for a surf and few drinks.
I’d give surfing another go… I just gotta stop using my Dad’s only short-board. I’m not nearly good enough to use it
