No such thing as “to much fun with a statue”.
Had a fun-filled day today. Started off the day with a boardwalk through the rainforest. Then we went to Flynns Beach for a surf. I haven’t surfed at this beach in 15 years and some of my best surfing memories as a kid were right at this beach. This was also my first surf in about two and a half years! Slightly out of practice, it was still great to be back on a surfboard. It started pissing down with rain so Michelle quickly fleed off the beach and back to the car. From there we visited the Koala hospital which was quite cool. Saw some really cute little koalas and they do some great work there at the hospital. Somehow I ended up at a Suburu dealer test driving a WRX. Man that thing is fun to drive! Did a bit of shopping and now we’re back chilling before dinner. Tomorrow we’re off to Coffs Harbour.

We finally arrived in Byron Bay this afternoon. Coffs Harbour was really cool; went surfing, went to the Jetty, went to the botanic gardens, walked around, chilled at the resort. All up it was really nice and I’m glad we stopped there. Stoked to be back in Byron. I forgot how chilled this place is. We went surfing all afternoon then went to the bar for some beers. The waves we smallish but still fun to ride. Michelle also came out for a few waves. Here’s a few photos from the last few days.

Cape Byron Lighthouse, Byron Bay
Loving life here in Byron Bay. Been surfing every day, the weather has been great and it’s just been super relaxing. Today we checked out Tallow Beach and the surf was pumping. Went for a bodysurf and got properly barreled. So stoked. Also checked out the “most easterly point of mainland Australia” up near the lighthouse as well. Tomorrow we are driving to Surfer’s Paradise for the day to go to Wet n Wild. Should be fun.
