Road Trip!

Pretty stoked right now. Michelle and I leave for a two week road trip up the coast tomorrow morning.

We are taking the surfboards, hitting up Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise (just for the day, going to Wet N Wild), then Port Stephens on the way home.

I will try update this thread with photos etc. Just wanted to share my stoke. Bring it on!

Perfect timing guys, schools back in for the year, should be quiet. Beach to yourselves

No such thing as a beach to yourself up the coast in summer (well maybe in this weather, mid week), but if the sun is out…. Better than during hols though!!!

If you’re coming back down the coast and you’re near Hat Head and the wind is NE, check out Hungry Head, sick waves there and usually a little bigger than elsewhere due to close proximity to continental shelf.

We arrived at Port Macquarie this afternoon. I haven’t been here in about 15 years, totally forgot how awesome it is. Visited my old stomping grounds and surf breaks. Can’t wait to go for a surf tomorrow. Checked out the new skatepark and even did some statue riding.

Where are you staying or are you guys camping along the way?

Not camping. We have places booked along the way. Hotel in Port Mac, Novotel Coffs, apartment in Byron, and a place called Salamander Shores in Port Stephens.
