More POV Surfing From Today

Spaz it’s the south point of Bungan, break known as Rockpools.  That was probably one of the funnest surfs I’ve had in a while, very unexpected crew of mates came out.  It was a horrible day as you can see, there was no one out and I was like stuff it I’m going out anyway.  I rang one mate to see if he wanted to come and next thing I know there’s about 6-7 guys I know coming down, hilarious. 

There was one mate from Av I haven’t surfed with in probably close to ten years, one of my snowboard/gym mates whose only just started surfing after giving up the booger and was doing well to be out there, the mate I went BC hiking with at the end of last season, another mate on a booger who tells me has just bought a stand up and a couple of other mates and one guy I hadn’t met before.  Went from what I thought mighta ended up being a solo session to a surf with a bunch of mates, all the guys in the water in that vid are friends, luckily no one else was out otherwise they woulda been burning with the instacrowd that came out.

Spaz the only drama I have with the POV angle is that you really cannot tell much about what the wave or surf is like, 90% of the time it looks mostly like you’re riding flat water, it’s only when you’re racing past sections or just about barrelled that it looks like your on a wave!  A couple of those waves were actually pretty interesting drops but you wouldn’t know it to look at it, even if you watch that POV stuff of Mavericks it doesn’t look real big at all.

I was out around Bronte last week (Thursday) and the waves were massive! Would have destroyed me lol.

Yeah the POV footage at Mavs really makes you realise there’s no percpective from a board mount.
How can a +20’ wave look under 6’

Yeh the surfs been pretty decent sized lately.. Walked the dog down to Narrabeen pool.. Went back and grabbed the bf and my camera and got some awesome sunset and wave photos.. Of the massive splashes from the waves crashing into the rock platform behind the pool.. And even a few waves just rolling over the top of the pool.. ( had to move a few times to avoid the water.. Lol)

You got a Crackberry Hoz cause I can’t see Vimeo stuff on mine either, something about Java not being compatible with it I think.
