Alrighty since im doing a season here in whistler i better start posting in here.

Tricks i could do before starting this season include;
ollie, nollie, bs180, fs180, indy grab, most small size kickers, one or two medium sized kickers, bs360 off small side hits & a few more minor tricks.

Tricks i have landed since starting this season;
bs360 of small kicker, fs360 of small kicker, fs540 off side hit, i also have just started jibbing so ive done 50-50 on small boxes, a rainbow box & a fat barrel looking thing. I really really really want to get good at jibbing but no matter how many times i try sliding into a boardslide i always end up smashing my knees or something.

GOALS for the season;
a real steezy frontside boardslide down a rail, bs & fs 360’s off medium sized kickers, straight airs of large sized jumps in the blackcomb park.

ollie

Straight airs off the large jumps are a good goal, they feel amazing, just throw in a shifty or something and you’ve got something to think about with the hangtime.

They always build a great triple set in the whistler park later on in the season known as bobcat which is perfect for this as they flow really well and the run in is really nice. To give you an idea they were similar to the jumps in the Perisher front valley park they had this season. I know that Charles Beckinsdale built the line last year but he’s moved over to the Blackcomb park this year. If you’re on instagram subscribe to him and check out the jumps he builds as he usually posts them up there once completed.

Agreed with the others though, killing it and those goals definitely look achievable - quite similar to mine, minus the jibbing aspect as I value my ribs too much after nailing them so many times in the past haha

Hit my first 50-50 on those fat rail things in the terrain garden. Wasn’t as hard as i thought. They have set up a similar thing in the whistler park a ‘M’ sized long flat fat rail thingy which if i get out of work i’m going to have a crack at!

Yeah man, it has been a dream of mine and I think its time haha! Got an Australian season at Perisher to progress a little more before then but 2013/14 season in Whistler is the plan.

I made a thread in Mountains and Travel asking for any tips at all so if you’ve got advice it would be awesome to hear it!

Hit my first large sized kicker in the Blackcomb terrain park today. A real nice straight air floater ollie  feeling pretty stoked today!

Also ive been practicing my boardslides, i can now ollie on & land in boardslide on flat boxes which is starting to feel pretty steezy! I can hit most ‘M’ sized features in the parks apart from the rails. I still needa grow some balls for them.

I learnt a new ground trick today…yeeeew! I havent learnt anything new for ages maybe cause I have been injured and I have tried this before but could never do it without holding the nose of my board. I just tried it today without thinking and can do it now for some reason.

I dont even know what it is called but its just spinning on the nose of your board down the slope….towards your backside edge.

Nothing amazing but I was happy! I am into the ground tricks atm because I am scared to hurt my knee jumping.

My only other goal at the moment is to get tweaked methods….we shall see how that goes

My little sister learn bs and fs shiftys and front ones off a jump the other day as well. So good when you are learning and you learn something new trick every day!
