Crickey, that don’t look too good at all
might just hold off on paying the balance of my Hero Pass!
in all seriousness, I hope the local community up there survives this unscathed. It must be very difficult to fight fires in such steep terrain.
Good luck to all the Men and Women helping fight the fires.. I really hope they can stop it before it reaches the resort areas… or any houses..
Wow that’s insane…

This.
I’ve got a number of friends who live in Harrietville. Most have moved out to Bright until it’s safe to head back however some are volunteer CFA members and are staying on to fight the fires.
Been a horrid couple of days down here in Melbourne keeping an eye on things, can’t imagine what it’s like for them.
Just when everything was becoming “benign”.... it’s back, and the monster is bearing down on our lovely Hotham.
The snowguns are on, and people are evacuated to the neighbourhood safer place. Gonna be an interesting few hours up there this evening, wind change and storms expected in a while.
Stay safe everyone.
ABC Local radio is playing the emergency warning now
Spotting 2 - 3 k’s in front. All residents have been evacuated now
That’s horrible. I really hope everything turns out OK. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.
This one has huge potential to be really bad.
There is a South west change on its way, its at Melbourne now, eastern side near Billy’s place. It will push the fire in a north east direction towards falls creek.
On the radio just now, the winds are so strong, all aircraft have been grounded.
Very upsetting to hear.
The fire at hotham is now right in blue ribbon, the genny crew are hosing down the general and its moving down the valley towards the workshop , stay safe , LOVE DJ EDDY
