All this legal talk is making me sick… can we get back to talking about snowboarding.
To late to get a free T ?
All spot on Daveo!
As AJ2theC eluded to, we should stay more on topic.
Actually I believe this is on topic. Just because we are not saying “gnarly” or “hella” or “dude” doesn’t mean we aren’t talking about snowboarding. All the talk about insurance is solely for the benefit of the new snowboard binding company. I mean without PL insurance, there may possibly be a dead new snowboard binding company and a bankrupt director(s) and then definitely no snowboard talk and this thread would be history.
my gnarly $0.02
Dude, it’s hardly some kid trying to start something from his garage, I’m sure they have their legals sorted.
But if they haven’t…. please don’t be taking any advice from us dropkicks… or any other online forum for that matter.
Yes, tee shirts are still available. Should be here in a few weeks. Will grab everyone’s details when they come in.
As for the insurance etc, yes it’s all under control. As someone said, just a tick in the box and probably the easiest part in getting this whole thing off the ground. If you want some real fun start looking into patents. Makes insurance issues look like kindergarten.
More on topic, how do I block my mate from sending pics to my phone of him waist deep in Whistler (powder that is)? Not what I want to see while stuck at the desk.
Call your phone provider and ask them to blacklist his number. Then remove him as a friend from Facebook and unsubscribe from his Instagram feed.
Blacklisting cant be done. tried to do it to an obsessive ex gf once.

How would you know? Insurance definitely does not equal legals- not by a long shot.
Dropkicks ... well speak for yourself. I’ve got more experience with insurance and business that you could imagine.
Aj isn’t having a go at you Daveo, just trying to lighten the mood! I’m not sure about AJ but in the course of my day to day business I often have the dubious “pleasure” of going through contract docs steeped in legal jargon. The favourite part of my day when that happens is forwarding it to the lawyers to do the due diligence for us, best left to the experts is my view and most others would agree, especially the OP I would hazard a guess. I’d like to think that Hulka has enough common sense behind him and his partners to have enlisted the help of professionals in that dept and risk mitigation in the form of PLI, professional indemnity etc etc is in place.
Yep all sorted, but thanks for the concern.
It sure is within the topic Daveo.
I’m pretty sure we have well discussed the whole insurance issue in this thread and all are pretty much on the same page in it’s regard.
Bringing it up was a dam fine point to make! Just imagine if it hadn’t been considered by Strewth?
Especially since we are talking about a pre-production, untested design being issued to BWM.
What you did was show concern, not just toward BWM but also Strewth, so please don’t feel cut-down by comments - your efforts are commendable and raised a point more important than snow getting caught in the binding - the what if factor.
Insurance is sorted and anyone using the binding is covered. It’s a legit professional product and operation.
I want to know if I can mount a camera on the binding easily?
Someone else mentioned mounting cameras. I think a smart person needs to design a universal mount that attaches to high backs or the binding frame. I’m sure I saw video of someone who’d done just that, somewhere.
I’ve done it many times although a lot dependes on the binding - It would be much better for a binding to have it in mind at the design stage. I would have to go into much detail why I think this is the case.
A universal mount would be clamped down on top of the boot, under the straps or possibly a plate that bolts between binding and board. I just want a place that a handlebar mount would easily clamp to.
Hi guys. We’ve been having a look at our production schedule, and if we can get things moving along fast enough, there is a chance we will have bindings available in time for this Aussie winter. These will effectively be production samples, and assuming there are no major issues will be the same as you’ll see in production at the end of the year.
So, if you want to be the first own these shiny new babies, and for only $185, head over to http://www.indiegogo.com/strewthsnowboard and reserve them now.
