As you can see, daveo, some people have extreme difficulty differentiating between their irrational, ideological versions of how they’d like the world to be, and y’know, the REAL WORLD.

Yep, the “Real World” has rules!!!!!

And when some break them, they think that it’s everyone else’s fault that they did!!!!!

That is definitely “Delusional”!!!!!

. . . the famous mum saying

If everyone jumped off the harbour bridge would you do it too?

In this context, a completely unrealistic, asinine analogy.

Yep, just like I said -  some people have extreme difficulty differentiating between their irrational, ideological versions of how they’d like the world to be, and y’know, the REAL WORLD.

It appears we’re supposed to blindly accept that in their “Real World”, all rules should be blindly followed to the letter - and, of course these non-hypocrites have never broken a single rule in their lives. No, of course they haven’t.

Just a shame that Lance didn’t see it the same way then!!!!!

It’s only an “asinine analogy” because it doesn’t agree with your argument!!!!!

Maybe you can supply a better analogy for all of us that are so stupid beyond your wisdom?????

No, it’s an asinine analogy because, well, it’s an asinine analogy.

Anyone unable to ascertain why it’s an asinine analogy is beyond my help.

Well I guess you can’t blame them. They can only believe what they see on TV and well ... Oprah. Because that is the ultimate authority on all matters! lol.

If we bring it back to boards in a way… why do we see people with $1000 park boards who can’t even take a 1 foot jump? Because they’re told to by the biggest snowboard companies. Everyone has a reverse banana magne rocker traction travis shawn board. Still these people continue to do the same blue run all day long and spend no time in the park. And they’re definitely not doing 1080s. Why on Earth do they have the same board as Shawn White? Because they’re told to.

Same thing goes with this whole Lance Armstrong thing. People are told what they are to believe and they believe it. Because Oprah said so. Come on. There is more to it than what you can see. He was either threatened, has a vendetta against the sport or was paid copious amounts of money, or likely case being all 3. But everyone is told he is a ‘cheat’ and they believe it.

The sport has to be protected, everyone will now condemn him. If cycling dies, imagine the jobs that will be lost, imagine the sponsorship deals, what about le tour? gone. A lot of people have lots on money invested in this, and this is why they will make you believe what they want. Cycling is clean! EVERY SPORT IS CLEAN! bullshit.

I’m not going to disclose what major competitions I’ve been in or where I’ve raced in Europe, but I can tell you even at my level (international sprinting, not high level), there is NOT ONE PERSON, who is not on it. It is standard. No one cares, it is a given.

The people with more money get away with it more. They have sponsors with big bucks invested. They pay high level chemists to develop new drugs that cannot be tested for. 99.99% of the time, if the drug is new, there is no way to test for it. And ASADA or any other doping agency don’t have the funds or psychic capabilities to be able to develop testing techniques for drugs that haven’t been officially discovered yet.

Wool Sunglasses FTW.

What about ‘if everyone pumped themselves full of a cocktail of drugs ‘, would you do it to?

or would you only think its ok to do it, if it resulted in you making a shit load of money and becoming famous as well?

Oh that makes it ok.

and then you can also start blaming everyone else except yourself when it becomes obvious that you can’t hide the truth?

Yeh that’s ok as well because everyone else was doing it.

I think you may be taking it out of context a little. I think it’s more got to do with performance enhancing drugs. If other people are on them, you can’t compete, if you are on them, then you level out the paying field and only then may the best man or woman win.
