I trip over the high back on Flows when skating. make me look like more of a clown in the lift line
being short I would have this problem.. But I simply stand my high back upright before skating.. (I don’t do it up.. Altho some times I do as its all one motion.. Takes 0.5secs, and I don’t trip..)
and as I said in the other thread, the latch to release the back on mine had an angled tip on the back.. Which grabs into the snow to stabilize the board when stepping in, I’ve never had a problem with snow build up, or anything..
Yeah, I tried that, kept falling back down.
I also had trouble with the binding filling with snow and its a bugger to get out.
They are old Flows, so maybe they have improved?
Maybe? Mine are last seasons.. And they are roxy bindings using the fastec step in system.. If you at perisher or I’m on a mountain near you at some stage.. You can see what mine are.. And if you feet are small enough.. Maybe even try them.. Mr.h0z just got his foot in.. But only just and he has Burton hails in a size 8 I think.. I’m about a mens size 6 lol!
Thanks…...... my 12’s could be a squeeze !!!
I had a good look at the Flow gear once with the importer, I was very impressed with how much tech is in the bindings.
I should demo some again one day and see if I have changed my mind
Keen to get a look at Strewth bindings, they seem to have overcome a few of the problems of step ins with their design.
Flows havent changed mate, still same shit design
Yeh I keep hearing that the flows aren’t that great,, but I haven’t tried them so no idea.. I have a mate with the gnu park bindings and they work the same as mine and he also loves them.. and he was hitting jumps and stuff with them.. Mr.h0z hit the 20fters in the blue cow park a few times on my board with my bindings.. (although it was a pretty snug fit with his boot) lol
Youtube gnu park bindings to see what I mean if you like,
Also.. Mr.h0z sounds pretty keen to try a pair of the strewth bindings…. soooo I passed to link to the site on to him..
No Forward Lean?????
Mizu, me? Of the strewth bindings?
If me, yes mine have lean adjustment, you tighten the tension cable on the back of the binding to adjust the lean..
If not for me.. disregard, lol
Nah, I watched the GNU vid!!!!!
Ahh, from memory I think that his do too.. but not 100% sure.
I ride the “little lifts” a lot to get home… you now, the ones meant for kids, and the highbacks need to be laid forward on a regular binding so they don’t get stuck/broken under the chair. But I’m a bit of a klutz, as some of you know, and I wonder how I’d go skating with it laid back. Maybe I should just get a cup of concrete.
Yes. Normal forward lean adjustment on the Strewth bindings.
Like I said to Azz tambo.. if your a similar size to me and we end of on the same mountain at the same time, feel free to do a run or 2 with my board/bindings.. and see if you like them..
( you can at least put them on and skate to see, )
Hey guys. We’re planning on getting a bunch of tee-shirts made and give them out to help get the brand out there.
Let us know if you want any and what size. We’ll get address details via PM. They’ll just be a white t-shirt with the logo on the back, and maybe a slogan like “World’s fastest binding” or something.
Maybe whoever suggest a good slogan can get a free pair of bindings from the first sample run…...
FYI, we’ve taken a bunch of feedback from the forums and already have a load of improvements & updates in the pipeline for production models. They’re starting to look bloody good!
Put your hand up for a shirt.
