Check out the life-cyle of Shaun White’s Burton snowboard, all the way from the factory in Burlington, Vermont to the slopes of Northstar in Lake Tahoe, California.
Worst sticker job ever
Somebody should show that kid how to properly centre bindings on a board.
Classic Facebook comment on this vid:
“I’m going to score him 100 for sticker adhesion even though he did a really bad job, just because he’s Shaun White and that’s what we do.”
haha thats what i was thinking!!
That was a cool clip!!!!!
Have a look at the amount of heel vs. toe boot overhang. This vid has me wondering if maybe SW has had someone mounting his bindings for him (along with taking care of every other bit of board ‘tech’) ever since he was a kid?
It might have just been the performance enhancing drugs, that he took moments before puttin them on?????
No channel for shaun?
Cool video!
No channel for shaun?
Yeah - a bit surprising.
^ Not really. He’d have specific boards for specific purposes - all customised just for him. All he’d need is three inserts for each binding, positioned exactly where he wants them. The versatility of the Channel would be redundant.
Surely what’s more surprising is that with all that personal customisation, he still couldn’t manage to properly centre his bindings?
I remember when Ed from Buoloco interviewed him last year for the “burton special project” (basically product info interview) about his pro model. He said he usually only rides 1 size the 156, and he usually just slide the bindings back 1 inch or so on a powder day.
