What SD card?

I’ve never looked into the WiFi Cards!!!!!

Let us know how it goes mate, or maybe even tag ya Insta Pics with #wifi for us?????

Yeah, have looked into wi-fi cards but the price tag and lack of microSD put me off.

A great concept and a better option than buying a backpack style accessory.

Backpack for a DSLR?????

Didn’t know they made them!!!!!

“backpack style”
As an example. And alluding to GoPro (who’s wifi is limited in it’s use due to software).

Any device that takes a SD card. Be it DSLR, video, game etc. can use a wifi SDcard to not just transfer data but also live stream video and photo’s.

Can you use a WiFi Card to operate a Remote?????

Avatar

What do you mean a remote Mizu?

Avatar

Remote control!!!!!

As per why the older style GoPro’s need the BacPac in order to use a WiFi Remote!!!!!

GoPro WiFi remote is useless because the battery lasts 10min, 20 at most.
It’s ok for a specialist shoot but thats it!

And it drains the camera battery.

its not useless!! i bet the remote lasts longer then your iPhone when using the app lol

Nope Rick, it doesn’t! And the menus are no easier to navigate using it.

My iPhone lasts longer than 20min (4-5hrs) just being turned on with wifi (unlike the remote). The camera drains just as fast. But the operation of the camera is vastly improved (until battery goes flat).

In the snow this means the remote is only good for 2 runs on supertrail (unless I fuss about turning it off which defeats the purpose of easy use - then I might get closer to the camera battery life, AGAIN; unless I fuss about turning wifi off on the camera wich will extend it’s life to 1.5hrs).

What bugs me most is the one-of-a-kind charger and easy to lose metal plug thingy on the remote.
Why not have a standard mini-usb charger like the camera?! (maybe because they know the cable or more likely, metal plug will get lost and need replacing).

im not gonna lie, my camera has lasted longer then that with the remote on. the app drains the battery on your phone way to much. i even got the lcd screen the camera lasts long enough but saying that i dont use it to film the boring stuff just the exciting stuff to slowmo and maybe if my camera cant get close enough.

so your saying the remote lasts for 20mins recording? the camera dies before the remote doesnt it? im 100% sure mine does, i use the remote all the time untill the camera dies

Used the Eye-Fi card last night, and works a treat. You can even transfer RAW files with it (i got the Pro X2 model).

I just jumped on their site http://www.eye.fi and had a look which cams you can use it with. Hero3 is a no go, but Hero 2 and Hero HD it works.

Avatar

Yeah, the 3 uses a Micro Card!!!!!

aahh! Well that explains it.

I like the fact that I dont have to sit there and up load photos. I can take them when I want straight away on my phone when out, and when I get home, they automatically upload to my computer
