A new thread for cool shit to covet.
I’ll start with this - Signal Snowboards have teamed up with Leatherman Tools, and this is the result:
That’s awesome
I’ll have one of those thanks
this is pretty cool!!
Ok so I want one of these
Another one of these
And I’m buggered if I can decide between either one of these. If I was going off graphics alone it would have to be the PLY, might wait till the new season stuff comes out and see what I prefer!

I also want a pair of these Burton Ambush’s if they fit right, actually I would try any boot on as long as it was really light, my current DC’s are heavy as.

I also think that something like this is going to find it’s way into my driveway in the near future.

I just got the 150 Ply today Nthn. Such a sick board - I was freaking out on the chairlift that I had gone too small, but as soon as I started riding and throwing spins that changed and I love it. I’m stoked on it. If you enjoy being able to press and flex easier then go for the Ply as other than the flex, base materials and graphics they appear to be virtually the same boards.
That VW looks sick, but I’d still rather have a Hilux!
Also, I might just like simple, but there is nothing about that tool that interests me. In fact I cringe at the thought of falling with it in my pocket. I have a tool that’s about 0.75” x 2” x 1” that is completely smooth on the outside until you open it up. That thing just looks like a novelty tool to me - I’m sure it’d be useful to some people though.
That Rok looks sick!!!!!
I’d have that over a Hilux any day!!!!!
I got the Burton Ambush’s and they are really good on my feet and super comfy.
Best boot I have ever had
Sam I think due to my size 12 boot I would be on the 159 and apart from anything else I’m still weighing about 107-8kgs as well. Maybe the reduced size footprint on the Ambush boot might help with the waist width issues but I’m thinking on a softer board the 159 would be the go.
Yeah I have never liked Hiluxes, the Toyota tax isn’t nice either and since 2007 according to some the tax hasn’t been warranted by additional reliability over it’s competitors for either. The one good thing about Toyota is the aftermarket parts availability is second to none, that’s awesome if you want hulking great bullbars, winches, rock sliders, diff locks, lift kits, rear utility bars and all the rest of that stuff. My plan for the Rok is a small front lift to get it level front to back, nice pair of 16-17” wheels and some Cooper AT tyres and a hard lid as far as looks are concerned. I don’t like bullbars and you don’t run into much on the beach or in Sydney traffic that a bullbar would help with anyway. Most of my country driving is done during the day as well so roo dramas touch wood will be minimal!
TJ I just hope my foot likes the boots as much as yours obviously do!
nthn try on the burton hails they are light as and commfy as hell, after my first burton slx they killed my life never again would i get burton SLXs.

Everyone has different feet. As Northern said, he hopes his feet like them as much as mine obviously do. And as you said, the SLX were crap but the Hails are heaven!
That VW looks sick, but I’d still rather have a Hilux!
You have never driven a Hilux then jumped straight into a Rok for a spin
Pffffffft. Gullible VW fanbois will buy anything with that badge on it.
As if VW could sell their cars for twice the price of an equivalent car if they didn’t have such an awesome marketing team.
I built a similar car for myself for about (insert really low figure) over 4 years ago, all I have done since is add petrol. It runs 24/7 and runs our (insert lots of car stuff) etc. and hasn’t had any problems other than a spark plug swap about two years ago for $180. My mates and their VW’s however that they rely on to make a living have shit and raped themselves several times over in the same time period, one mate estimates that including purchase price on his VW he has dropped over (insert really high figure) in a similar period, one repair bill almost topped (insert really high figure).
Unless you’re into the added plastic bits and showier looks, in the real world there’s bugger all in it other than a massive price hike.
I bet ya that it went like a piece of fruit too!!!!!
I agree Chucky. Self built cars are way better than these crappy manufactured German VW things!
I think Toyota runs the Fanboi side of things in dual cab utes. I think VW has that cornered for vans though. This would be my first VW, never built a car myself though but I don’t see any comparison between building cars and computers unless you were motivated purely by a desire to bait someone but I can’t see anyone in this thread who would do such a thing. I do hope Ar-seful, sorry Apple bring out toilet paper though, it’s one Apple product I might buy.
