Trying out the panorama mode on my Android phone.  This is Tidal River, Wilson’s Prom from Mt. Oberon.

Well after reading this thread I’m definitely going to try and do a few panos of my own!

Can I ask what program you guys are using to stich them?

Avatar

if you have an iphone 4 or above with the latest software update there is a pano mode in the standard camera, id say thats what rider is using.

before that came out i used auto stich on my iphones, its still really good because unlike the above one you can join images in all directions, not just horizontally

Ahhhh OK. I have a 4S, so I know about the stitching on that.

I was assuming that Jez was using his DSLR and stitching photos from that.

I have a Canon 7D, which I might give it a try on. Should be able to stich it all in CS4.

Actually, I just remembered I took some panos from the top of Mt Feathertop on my P&S when we hiked it. I’m going to see if I can dig those up and stich them!

Dyl, I got the 400d and 450d with in about 8 months of each other ( about 3-4 years ago).. then got the 5d mkII last year, started as a hobby… but I’m actually looking at studying it this year.. and progressing with it more… ( so far everything I know I have taught myself either through tutorials online or trial and error/experimenting…)

I’ll dump a few of my other non snow panoramic up really soon.. smile
