New type of snow jacket?

Avatar

If they made them a bit better and depending on how the goggles / facemask work.

Could still be very restrictive.

Bank robbery anyone?

Looks like a blowfly

Doesn’t look terribly practical, although it might have a niche on those shocking ice-daggers-in-your-face days.  Is it a riding jacket or casual?

Someone actually thought it was a smart investment to spend the bucks on getting samples made for these?!?!?!?!?!

Not sure, I think they’d be surprisingly practical. Just don’t look any good.

I’m struggling to breathe just looking at it! And if you need a bit of air you have to unzip the whole jacket??
I’ll stick with my air hole thanks wink

It looks like it has mesh over the mouth. Doesn’t look too hard to breath in.

. . . I think they’d be surprisingly practical.

I think they’re just the opposite.

- Most people would never ride in a jacket that fitted or short.

- People’s head sizes don’t necessarily correlate to garment sizes, so standard garment sizing would simply NOT work.

- The lenses would very quickly get scratched to bits.

- Fogging would be a MAJOR issue.

- The zip requires you to wear a hair covering so it doesn’t get snagged.

- The pompom on the top could not look more ridiculous.

And that’s just for starters!

LOL How would you wear a helmet with that thing?

Haha I did say that I think it could be designed much better. The lenses would be ok on someone who could ride. The mesh over the mouth should allow it not to fog.

The hair cover and the pom-pom are fkn stupid though.

I would never wear that, let along pay money for it. It wouldn’t be functional at all. Imagine hiking in that haha.

As soon as it’s unzipped, the lenses would get scratched into oblivion.

Breathing isn’t the problem - it’s the whole head worth of heat.

Implying that the goggles don’t also have vents like any other goggle you buy, or that you wouldn’t buy it the same as any normal jacket - oversized to fit extra layers underneath.
Do you usually get your hair stuck in zips? I’m sure tying any long hair in a pony tail or leaving it down the back will more than suffice in keeping it from being caught in the zip - the picture clearly shows that the zip really only comes over the face and there in an inner layer over the top of the head anyway.

Also, if you’re going hiking, I doubt you would feel the need to hike with it zipped up.

I agree that they do seem practical but only in a limited scenario like blizzard days, and while I would never wear one, it’s definitely not the stupidest snow gimmick I’ve ever seen.

This is stupid.

Haha!!

As a girl the hair snag Chucky mentions does not seem an issue.

As for the fashion part - I reckon it would go down a treat in Europe! That jacket is def designed for skiers not boarders (short cropped and fitted)
