Other forums enforce a strict policy of only filling these out if the poster submits a video of themselves explaining the survey. I would suggest a similar criteria here for them to prove they aren’t just using the forums for easy essay content.

If you read the thing, it was obvious the dude is from the nthn hemisphere, so school is still in & they only have a relatively short break over winter (same way we have our short school hols in winter). I have no problem with helping a kid get material for his assignment, without him having to contribute to boardworld. It took me about 4 minutes and I’ve helped the kid out. If you don’t want to fill it out, don’t fill it out.
Most kids wouldn’t personally know 70 snowboarders to fill out their survey. I have no issue with him asking here, without submitting a video explaining it!
No big deal, and certainly not worth moving to spam.
I wouldnt normally so these for first posters, but as with Crackers, i took the absolute piss out of it lol
I wouldn’t mind filling it out;
but clicking on a link that “says” its a school project posted by a one time only visitor, who doesn’t use any grammer (none, zero, ziltch) is risky. They should fail for not spelling “I” properly.
As SamNZ pointed out it may also encourage more of this activity. And bring more spam to BW.
I hope it was legit and not just some agency fishing for info on Aussie snowboarder and website ip addresses for spambots. Or a professional researcher who is paid to reach a benchmark of 70 snowboarders before they get paid.
How can we know? Since this person has posted no info about who they are.
The first thing I did was look at their profile, I knew they were NthHe (Crytal Lake) spelt without capitals, they took 3mins to register, and spent 2mins on BW.

The first identifier of a spam is no grammar. Even a 7yo knows to start a sentence with capital letters.
The first post reeks of spam. I get enough spam-mail that needs blacklisting.

I don’t see a forum benefitin from attackin some random person, that most likely only came across this forum because of the assignment that they had to do, then gettin a whole heap of negative comments from the current users!!!!!
If anythin, that scares off anyone from even signin up and askin a simple question, in the fear of some venom gettin spat in their faces!!!!!

but guys, they are getting such valuable research out of us! With deano and crackers on the case, how can they not be pleased with the survey results?
Q23. In your opinion what is the biggest problem with snowboards?
The biggest problem with snowboards is that they can not fly and they refuse to make me dinner, although to be fair that is actually two problems. It is also annoying when they get surly and grumpy towards the end of the day and make me crash repeatedly. Actually no, the biggest problem is that they sterilise all stock boards so they cannot breed and I am then forced to buy my boards from a registered snowboard breeder.
