GoProHero3 Black - last one in Sydney?

Avatar

Spaz, don’t bother making a bwm price - it’s like trying to rip off your own friends. If people on here want one they know how to find ebay. Everybody knows you’re selling one so they can pm you and work something out.
this type of flipping a product should be done quietly

Nah its like when apple release their iPhone, they have like 12 in the country so people back order them and talk about how good they must be because they are so popular. Its kinda similar with this black edition go pro. That’s what I’m getting at

To be fair Google also recently completely stuffed up the release of the Nexus 4 and 10. I had to resort to paying more for a grey import nexus 10 just to get one in time.  teacherboy

I also put a deposit of $30 for the battery backpack with that $570

Sounds like ya paid RRP then!!!!! Not unreasonable at all!!!!!

You’d expect that with anything when it’s first released!!!!!

Bargaining power is much greater once something’s been on the market for a while!!!!!

I was actually trying to give BWM the opportunity to negate the hassle of bidding on ebay AND have it at a better price than what they are currently selling for.
My price includes delivery (hand-delivered in Sydney before Christmas)

I don’t see it as ripping off friends but the opposite, making sure ‘my friends’ can get one and below the going price!

I don’t “get” why people are so insistant on having GoPro when other products will meet those consumers practical needs.
I had one mum insist that White was exactly the same as Black in terms of quality because her husband is in IT and had researched it. My biggest struggle is bowing down to customers that “know better”.
If friends insist on buying a product against my advice they can pay the price (literally in $) especially since I offer the alternate product (I think will suit them) below retail!!!

A friend will force you to do whats right not just let a mate do what they want. My roll here is not to sell cameras but give advice. I’m trying find the balance between all I’ve said above;
Allow friends to do what they want, consider the alternative and offer them a good deal no matter what they decide.

If you don’t think it’s a good deal then fine! But don’t put potential interested parties off with negative comments!
None of you seem to consider the $30 SDcard, fuel (for delivery), time put in or that I won’t have this item replaced for weeks buy selling it.

I seem to read many comments suggesting (or blatantly saying) I’m trying to rip off the customer for my benefit - this is not for sale to benefit me!!!

look man, just take my advice. go sell it on ebay for as much as you can (and don’t brag about the price), then buy another one when they come in stock. Enjoy the cash. Don’t say you don’t need it.
but trying to justify selling it for more than the retail price is price gouging, which is not looked on highly.

finding an old rare stamp in the attic and selling it for heaps = good story
selling gopros at inflated prices because of a stock shortage = bad story

so just sell it quietly.

oooooh my god

dude just do what you think is right everyone have brains to make they own decisions on what they want and how much they want to spend on something and why they choose that particular thing over some1 eases recommendation and on top of all that this is FORUM where everyone will voice they opinions and some will agree with you and some will disagree.

this is like apple vs android everyone will have they own 5c.

I just don’t think it’s good form suggesting that because I’m offering my GoPro below the current amount people are spending that I’m a bad person.
I expect support when putting offers like this on BW. And encouragement.

Especially when I’m not really wanting to sell it anyway. I don’t think you realise I did buy this retail due to a GoPro shortfall.
Through my business I get them at wholesale and sell them rrp.
The three black edition I was allocated sold this way and BWM were offered them with a high quality memory card for free (worth $29) - better quality than SanDisk.

If I sold my car for $15K it would be because of demand for a hard-to-get and rare item. Same for a stamp.
Whats the difference just because it’s a Hero3? They are hard to get and rare.
