Boardworld Tennis open - late 2013?
I’d so be down for that…would give you enough time to practice and get good enough to give me a decent game, DRC
The super competitive side of me says “YES BRING IT ON!” The “I’ve only had around 4 social hits of tennis in my life” side of me is a little more cautious. I’ll very rarely knock back anything sporting related though and I’d be happy to put the hard yards in.
I’m still waiting for a BW hockey team to form, I reckon I could talk Mizu and Baby Mizu into it!

I may talk up my tennis ability, as when I was in my teens I was definitely alright at it….but it has been more than 10 years since I’ve played regularly. I’m lucky to get a hit once a year now, so I’m very, very bad. haha.
Definitely keen for social hits when I get back, if we end up somewhere where it might be practical.
Same deal with touch - used to be very good back in my teens, nowadays, not so much!

Haha you’ve never heard of oztag? It’s touch football with tags hanging off you. Actually now I think about it do you play touch footy down there?
I know you love your basketball and to be fair I really haven’t given it much of a chance. On the 1 or 2 times I’ve taken a shot I discovered my hand eye coordination just didn’t translate at all and I wasn’t getting a whole lot of shots in. Not much of a short guys game either! Never say never though, get my competitive juices flowing and I might just try to learn.
So I’ve worked out Cronulla is pretty close to half way between the central coast (cords) and Mexico (billy) so it would make for a great location for the comp! 
Happy to put you down for a but I don’t think anyone would be silly enough to challenge you at that game, you’ve got years of hard training under your belt.
I’m down for squash, too.

Hahaha… Silly skates? Man, I love skating! I won’t say that I used to do figure skating 
- that was VERY short lived though… I’m not that graceful.

Tennis, basketball, inline hockey, skating (still have my speed skates), touch footy - hell, I’m good at everything! 
I’m especially good at my mouth writing checks I can’t cash. Who remembers ShiftyNinja? (gf-2011) she used to coach tennis, but never told me until we started playing in Thredbo that spring - turns out I’m not as good as I think.
I just love participating in sport and giving 110% - social or not I’m competitive and will break my own body parts to try and win.
Bring on BW Tennis open! I nominate Headies Tennis courts in Austinmer. That way if the swell is on us surfers can get a wave between games, plus I manage a cocktail bar near-by so can be competed later in the evening.
And why wait for late 2013? I’m feeling this January.

I have played quite a few games of tennis at Headies that ended up being cut short to go surf instead. Best to schedule any games for the night time once it is dark, if you have any wish to actually finish the match! Thirroul bowlo synthetic grass courts are a better surface to play on…but headies is so cheap!
I have been missing Headies quite a lot the last few days. I had a very vivid dream about surfing out there and I’ve been thinking about it ever since!
Enough talk about Headies now. Making me homesick!
