A strom’s a brewing…............
That looks like one hell of a strom there Warren!!!!!
Why would you do that??? Leave window open?
It can happen to the best of us…
OK, I’ll tell the story. For some stupid reason I left my car window open overnight (just plain forgetful) and there was a massive downpour/storm all night with high winds. Just so happens that my open window was facing the oncoming direction of the wind. The next morning, let’s just say my car was very, very, very, very wet. All the cup holders and compartments were literally overflowing with water. It took me a good 6 months to get that wet smell out of my car.
OK, I can better that a few times over….......
left my sunroof open and it poured rain all night :teacher boy:
attempted river crossing = sitting waist deep in water, inside my truck
Up the bush camping, left the dogs in the car (as always) for the night. They must of eaten something that made them crook in the guts. Dog shit EVERYWHERE, and I mean everywhere !!!!! Cup holders full, on the roof lining, in the centre console, storage compartments, even places you wouldn’t think it could get, it was there!!!!
Took me three hours to get it looking respectable, the stench was another complete issue. Two days and $600 later at the detailers, seats, carpets, everything out, my mate who is a pro carpet cleaner doing his part (for nothing) you could then only smell it on warn days.
I could still find bits of shit in nooks and crannies the day we sold it.
Dogs now sleep elsewhere when camping
I remember me and my mate took his dog down the beach with us in my car when we went for a surf, and along the way we could smell a definite shit smell comin from the back of my car!!!!!
He was laughin his head off about the fact that his dog had shit itself in the back of my car!!!!!
That was, until we got out of the car and found that his pooch had piled it ever so neatly onto his wetsuit!!!!! Booyah!!!!!
Nothing could top that Azz!
Thing’s I’ve witnessed:
#1 Drop-off parking outside Thredbo supermarket. Heavy snow for a couple of days, commodore was snowed in.
When the sun came out heat on the roof 4 floors up, made for massive snow slabs that slide off (normally it can be fun to go have a coffee at 10:15-10:30am to watch people gets scared when they hit the ground), anyway - Commodore has a sunroof and the snow smashed straight through it, in what can only be called an avalanche, it literally filled the car to overflowing with snow. And the owners didn’t return for another 24hrs. Apparently the car was written-off.
#2 Thredbo again, 2010 torrential spring rain and the river floods. Most people move their cars from the carpark up from the hotel but not one particular punter who leave their brand new BMW - surprisingly new BMW aren’t as well sealed these days. All the locals watched with interest for when the owner would return to find their car full of water. IT SAT FOR 7 MORE DAYS! before the owner appeared - completely unaware of what had happend, they were rather shocked when water flowed out as the door opened.
