Drift Innovation Launches the Drift HD Ghost
I probably said that but the backgorund is I used to live with 3 quiky reps years ago, my sister worked for em as well and used to get a lot of stuff for either nuthin or next to nuthin, mate married into one of the families that own it and another mate I haven’t seen for ages is the son of one of the other owners. I have had a lot of their stuff over the years but I’m not sure it classifies as product loyalty in the truest sense!
My current pair of jeans are CK, I was in Myer and they were on sale so I just grabbed em without a second thought, there are about 5 pairs of Quik jeans in my wardrobe, even an old pair of quick cord cargo pants! I understand where your coming from mate but about the only brand I’ve ever had loyalty to was Holden and I’ve been driving a Ford for the last 15 months as it fit my needs at the time. If you’ve had a good experience with a brand sure it’s a point in their favour and your definitely going to consider their product again when it comes to buy again but I’m fairly easily swayed into other brands based on research

Mizu, are you going to give Drift a chance to prove itself worthy of your beloved GoPro? I think not.

I’m starting to notice a regular date being supplied no matter what item, brand, product or supplier. Customs or delivery services or SOMEONE must allocating dates based on something other than reality.
What I will say is that across both GoPro and Drift neither company has managed expectation very well at all, maybe that is truly through no fault of their own but I would be starting to get very peed off about the delivery date being pushed back over and over. Coincidentally isn’t this something that historically at least that Apple is usually very good with?

Actually I was giving Apple a wrap, weird I know. Actually it’s not even really the company I hate it’s just mindless devotion to anything with little to no thought as to why, my intolerance of this phenomenon transcends all facets of life but is probably most noticeable when it comes to religion. Scratch that I just can’t tolerate stupidity and the above are examples of this.

Apple took 2weeks to deliver my latest computer, they say on the website 1-3working days.
Incidentally it wasn’t that far off par to the cost of a pc equivalent (but you would likely have to build it yourself). Apple’s high end gear is surprisingly competitive unlike their laptops (my macbook-pro took 1 week when ordered at JBHiFi and has been faulty for 6 months and still not repaired under Apple warranty).
I had the same problem in supply with VIO years ago. Delivery dates are out of the brand’s hands but pricing and managing allocation isn’t!
Today I bit the bullet and ordered a couple of Drift HD Ghost so I don’t miss any of the first shipment.
At least Drift are far more approachable - they disclosed the exact amount being sent to Australia and how many were already allocated/available weeks ago.
The accessories are currently available*, the price wont increase and their history of customer service is very good. Not to mention the support they give their dealers and the honesty marketing.
*Drift Monopod is no longer in production due to US patent issues.
