How do YOU escape the heat?
God I HATE that movie.
Bondi Beach is my usual escape, whether it be a swim during the day or a walk along the beach at night. Nothing like walking along the promenade eating ice cream, listening to the waves breaking on the shore, as the cool evening breeze cools you down.
My other options might include a swim in a pool at one of my mates’ houses, cold beer in the shade, or just watching TV with the air conditioning cranking.
But nothing beats a swim/surf for me. Bondi Beach is my go-to. Say what you will about Bondi - it’s still one of my favourite places on Earth.

I prefer Bronte or Glammarama.
But Bondi is ok

I thought that Bimbo Beach always gets too SANDY!!!!!

Bronte is okay but again parking is a biatch! Tamarrama is okay as well. but the stairs they are a biatch! I watched the sunrise one morning on NYE day a couple of years ago on Tamarama Beach - there was half a doz of us in a group and maybe two others only the whole beach - it was pretty cool.
Too be honest if I am going to get in the car to drive to a beach I will drive a little out of Sydney to escape the crowds.
I regularly go to Newcastle for the weekend in summer for my beach fix (bonus is I get to catch up with mates) .
Or head to Wollongong to visit grandmama’s
(then I am the fav grandchild for a spell! LOL)
Give me a beach down on the Sth Coast any day of the week!!!!! (Preferably not the weekend days though)

Only referencing east Sydney beaches.
There are so may better options on the Aussie coast. About a million come to mind!
