How do YOU escape the heat?

Avatar

TJ and Northern… Speaking my language !!! Only reason I survived my time in the NT local cash register dude looked the other way as I ‘regularly’ perused the um selection.. or just stood in the cooler more like;y… Its getting like that here now, no 2 1/2 hour trip to the beach is economical, so I’m paying for it. We are (for the first time ever) enjoying this thing you blank stare all csll Air-con-dish-un-ing.

I must admit….....  I LIKE it.  smirk

I’m not up in Sälen yet. I’m down in sjötorp with fred’s family til the keys to our plave up in sälen arrive in the post this week. Its snowed craploads in just about every place EXCEPT sjötorp. We drove about an hour south yesterday to buy a car, and there was 2ft of snow on the rooves of the houses, that hadn’t been there the day before. None of the snow storm reached our little village!

Can’t wait to get up there!

I was loitering in the cool room. The guy came in and told me to buy something, I didnt protest too much at his stipulation.

Was up the coast again over the weekend, didn’t seem to be as hot up there as it was Sydney.  I had a swim at Lighthouse Beach in the morning, brekky by the pool at Moby’s in Pacific Palms and then spent the middle of the day on the beach at Treach.  It wasn’t that hot on the beach with the Noreaster blowing, I even went for a lap of the beach jogging, spent some time teaching the girlfriend to bodyboard, did some swimming and tried to have a surf but between the tiny waves and my back feeling a bit iffy after sleeping weird it wasn’t really working.

Went back to the camp site about 3 or 4ish, sat in my chair in the shade of a tree in the breeze and read 3 bogan 4wd mags,  2 surfers journals and one TW snowboard mag while downing a few ice cold coronas from the esky.  Later that night was awesome, I was more drunk, it was a really comfy temp, the stars were out in force and there was a wicked lightening storm going on down over Nelson Bay that provided some entertainment.
