Obviously depending on the amount of money you have does it cost an excessive amount to take your boards over or with prices and that over there is it wise to buy a new board?

Depends who you fly with as they all have different baggage rules. Generally we all travel with board bags as our main piece of check-in luggage so it can range from not costing anything extra at all to a couple of hundred extra.

Unless you manage to snag a deal on an older model in the Tokyo stores gear isn’t any cheaper and in some cases typical overpriced on snow prices for gear over there so don’t presume it will be cheaper to buy a board there.

Yeah, gear is definitely not cheaper in Japan!!!!!

Plus a lot of the airlines are doin extra luggage allowances this season!!!!!

Even when they aren’t, it isn’t a major cost factor, cause if ya buy gear here before ya go ya can also claim the GST back at the TRS at customs in the airport!!!!!

Go Cat Skiing/Boarding - Niseko Photography do trips.

We had tee’d up a couple of trips in Feb. one group got to go but then the snow quality went a bit crap so I didn’t get a trip

ETA: here is a video from our group last year. (Niseko Photography did it) the Cat Skiing groups starts at about 4.15min

I am mainly in the Rusutsu part, was with the videographer most of the day! You will see me stack and almost stack from the 6min mark.

There is another hilarious stack at 3.20 mark…

Not sure exactly how long they are, but they state that due to the way that Mt Annupuri is, the hike to get fresh lines is pretty easy!!!!!
