What exercise did you do today?

Tills - If Mizu is going to claim carrying a slab I think 18 holes of golf is more than acceptable.

productive week for me..

33km on the bike, mixture of interval training and also just slugging it out on the highest setting.
2 hour sessions at the gym just using the machines to keep my legs/knees strong after smashing my hamstring in the past and a fair bit on the chest/shoulders after smashing myself down at the shred. WIll probably need another visit to the physio this week as my neck is still a bit stiff and can feel it holding me back a bit.

Going to try and continue this until I head back to whistler but need to start doing a lot more on my core so that’ll be the aim for the coming week.

I went to Bikram yoga last night. It was a really hot session. Smashed me but it was the most rewarding session I’ve ever done. Really starting to feel my strength coming back and flexibility has improved heaps.

I went to my first ever pilates class today (reform, on the machines). It was much more of a workout than I was expecting. Super good for strengthening the core. I felt like jelly afterwards.

I think I’m going to become a member at Elixr http://www.elixr.com.au/ - really cool concept and unlimited pilates and yoga classes, and swimming in their pool (big bonus for me).

Triathlon!

3ish km SUP
50ish m swim after falling off
2.5ish km walk bare foot along bike/walking track to get cars
Drive back to SUP’s to put on cars

That wind picked up from nowhere and we couldn’t make it back.

30hrs work over the weekend, not a great amount of food so was burning fat stores.
Mostly pushing a mop around - that means scrubbing with it, not just wetting a floor (big floor space). Seconded by carrying cases of beer, it was our busiest Friday ever and I moved by hand around 50 cases. Walked at least 50km over the weekend.
All done late into the night/early morning and to help stay awake I stretch.
Wrestled a few drunk brawlers (escorted them outside), really raises the adrenalin and works the entire body especially since these are mostly guys muscle bound over 100kg, resisting who can barely stand straight.

Surfed between shifts, yesterday was a continues beating at low tide but totally enjoyable so stayed out for 2hrs before doing my last (short shift) at dinner - arms were cramping trying to carry plates and struggled to poor wine smoothly I was so jelly-muscled.

Hey Jez my sister did her written pilates exam over the weekend - she’s been doing pilates since the late 80s and teaching classes for the last 6months.
Really glad to see you’re using the machines - that other stuff isn’t “real” pilates. Pilates was developed to strengthen ballet dancers without bulking up muscle. Ballet dancers are friggin strong and need slim, good looking muscle tone.

I bought Speedos and swimming goggles yesterday. I’m getting back in the pool. It’s been years since I trained for swimming. Pumped to get back into it.

Went to my first Hatha yoga class today. I was pretty uncoordinated for the most part. A lot more relaxing a meditative than Bikram yoga. Anyway, I decided to sign up to Elixr so I will be doing a lot of yoga, pilates, gym and swimming over the next 12 months. Pretty motivated to get fit, strong and flexible again.

I finally signed up to Elixr today on a 12 month membership. Jumped in the pool for the first time in ages to do some proper training. I swam 1km which isn’t much by my old standard, and my times were way down from when I used to train, but it was more than enough to tire me out today. I guess I will slowly have to build up stamina again.

Went to Bikram yoga last night and also on Monday night. Great sessions. Really loving it. It’s amazing how good I feel after a session.

So I guess now I just need to continue with this new positive trend of exercise and working out. I felt really unfit today in the pool but I’ll get there eventually.

TRIATHLON!

- Workout at home
- Skate Umina Skatepark
- Surf Umina Beach

*Note I haven’t left for Umina yet so the skating will happen, but the surfing may be switched to a swim to cool down afterwards.
Cause hey, it’s Umina

Had my biggest evening of exercise yet. Swam 1.2km and went straight to a 90 minute Bikram yoga session. Exhausted but glad I did it. Dinner time!

I need to do some exercise badly, had a big weekend of drinking with some surfing mixed in but not quite the same.  Might go do a soft sand run the sarvo as my SUP is in getting dried out and sealed, had a few cracks in it that were letting water in.
