SPECIAL EVENT SCREENINGS OF BONES BRIGADE
To celebrate the upcoming Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download release of skating legend Stacy Peralta’s BONES BRIGADE, Hopscotch Films / Entertainment One will be holding special event screenings of the film in Sydney and Melbourne in late November.
In the early 80’s, popular skateboarder Stacy Peralta brought a profoundly talented group of outsiders together. Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero and Mike McGill became the most competitively dominant skateboarding team in history – called the Bones Brigade. Unmotivated by fame or popularity, but through passion, drive and creativity, they completely dedicated their lives to a disrespected art form and influenced skateboarding in ways that continue to define the sport today.
BONES BRIGADE chronicles their epic rise, using awesome archival footage and moving first-person accounts from all six core Brigade members, modern-day pro-skaters and many others from the underground art and music scenes.
Engaging and incredibly moving, BONES BRIGADE charmed audiences at its Sundance Premiere earlier this year, proving that skateboarder turned-filmmaker Peralta (Dogtown & Z-Boys) has an uncanny knack for fusing style and substance in his films. His latest project offers a rare and intimate look into the lives of skateboarding history’s most influential A-team.
