ok.. ive goolged for ages trying to find the answer..
i know you could.. but would it really affect your riding and feel that different?
i ask because i want miss matched, one pink one white, but i want step-ins.. (i wont go back to ratches… lol)
i already have the roxy, rock-it blast bindings..
and was thinking if i found some step-ins in pink.. to use one of each..
if not i might just get the new flow bindings.. they look awesome!! (and are colourful!!)
or
Although it’s probably not ideal from a performance point-of-view, I can’t see why not. Probably best to try to match the flex as best you can.
^ + 1
you could always rip out the pink spray paint
I contemplated this for a long time ^ because that would be the cheaper way
but after reading up on it, the paint just chips off apparently.. probably from the cold and the plastic flexing..
and i dont want to try it on my only set of bindings that are only 1 season old.. lol
Why not buy 2 pairs of 1 type of binding in different colours.
ie. One pair of pink Flows and one pair of white Flows.
And you can go halves with a friend so you both get mixed colour bindings but they are the same bindings so they will feel right.
Or if you don’t know anyone else who would buy some bindings with you, then just buy one more pair of roxy’s in a different colour.
i was looking at the new roxy bindings and they come in like a magenta/fuschia colour.. not quite the pink im after.. but close enough for me to consider doing this
Oh come on. It’s pink.
One pink and one white binding should look pretty sweet. And your friends will know when you’re riding switch
I wouldn’t buy bindings simply on the colour!!!!!
hOz, please please please choose function over fashion. There are so many different ways to get different colour combo’s in snowboarding accessories do you really need to have one pink binding and one white one? The only solution is buying two sets of the same binding in different colours as mentioned previously, that way you can be sure they are the same and won’t affect your riding experience, that should be your number one priority IMO, thats if your not trying to to enhance it!
I don’t get too concerned with bindings colour, I wear my pant leg over the high back anyways so can’t really see much of it!
^I concur… Function over fashion.
just spray paint them. yes the paint will chip off but I don’t think it will all fall off in a season.
+1 vote to the function over fashion logic
I’d also be wary about what paint ya might use too!!!!!
Some paints will eat/compromise the plastics used to make the binding!!!!!
you could learn how to use ratchets?
My first bindings were K2 Auto’s which had the selling point of no toe ratchet. Eventually this drove me completely insane as slipping in and out of the binding was a pain and I could never get the tightness right.
I bit the bullet and purchased a pair for rome 390 boss bindings and I can’t overstate how much better it is having standard ratchets (pretty sick bindings too)
They aren’t a pretty binding (plain black and already chipping) but seriously do people care about what bindings look like? .
I can kind of understand people putting effort into their outerwear (though once again I select features first then select from whatever colours they have available) but surely function comes a long way ahead of looks for the hardware!
I’d have a lot more respect for someone with great riding style/skills vs being colour coordinated.
